Following the latest Government Guidelines that came into force on Thursday 24th September
2020, our Christmas Programme for 2020 is different to previous years. Be rest assured, we
are still open for you to enjoy celebrating over the Festive season with friends, family and
colleagues for lunch and dinner in Bartellas restaurant, our Festive Themed Afternoon Teas at
Ivy Hill, Christmas Day & Boxing Day luncheons and our New Year’s Eve celebration dinner,
all whilst staying within the numbers and time guidance given. If you are visiting us over the
Festive season, why not stay overnight with us? For our best available rates, please book
directly via our website www.ivyhillhotel.co.uk.
If there are any full or partial relaxations to any of the Government Guidelines, we will be ready
to adapt and advise accordingly.
ABOUT
restaurant and Ivy Hill Hotel are both located within the same building,
moments from the A12 between Chelmsford and Brentwood at Writtle Road,
Margaretting, CM4 0EH
restaurant is independently run from the hotel and majors on good food,
professionally served in smart, intimate surroundings.
Bartellas are open Monday to Saturday from 12 midday to 8pm (last orders) and Sunday
lunchtimes 12 midday to 4pm (last orders).
Ivy Hill Hotel is independently owned by the Bartella family and has 31 en-suite bedrooms,
a smart bar and lounge area, private dining rooms and function suites. For our very best

On site at Ivy Hill and , we have three Domes, that are perfect for dining in a
cosy environment with friends, family and colleagues for lunch, dinner, Sunday lunch and
full afternoon tea. From 16th November - 26th December and 31st December 2020, our
heated Domes will be festively decorated, with children welcome from 3-years upwards.

Our Igloo Domes are perfect for a unique dining experience to dine
for lunch, dinner or Sunday lunch at Bartellas or our
Festive Themed Afternoon Tea at Ivy Hill.

Why not dine in style and hire one of our Igloo Domes for Christmas Day or
Boxing Day luncheon or New Year’s Eve Dinner. Igloo Dome hire charge on 25th, 26th
and 31st December is £50.00* per dome (T&Cs apply). For further information please

*Dome hire charge must be paid in full at the time of booking and it is non-refundable and non-transferable (see our T&Cs regarding
COVID-19 cancellations). The maximum table size is 6. Minimum of 2-courses must be taken for lunch, dinner or Sunday lunch at Bartellas or
our Festive Themed Afternoon Tea is available at Ivy Hill. On Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year’s Eve we will only be serving the published
menu for each of these dates as advertised in this Christmas Programme. Due to health and safety restrictions, there is unfortunately no
wheelchair or pushchair access to the Domes. Children aged 3-years upwards are welcome. If you are unable to dine in the Igloo Domes due
to adverse weather, you will be seated in an alternative suitable area within the building.
