We do NOT accept American Express or Cash.

Encumbrance fees are now overdue. Please note, if you are unable to access the parks, one
reason for this may be there is an outstanding encumbrance fee to pay. If you would like to check
if you have a fee outstanding please contact us, or call into the office and we will happily check
this for you. Just a friendly reminder to have fees sorted by January 31 so one does not incur a
late payment penalty fee of 3% on February 1.

  GATE CREDENTIALS TROUBLESHOOTING
If you have paid your encumbrance fees and you are still having trouble accessing the gates
please check the following;
 • Do you still have an “old” card? It will look similar to this
If you do, you will need to download the new credentials, or
come into the office to access a new card.
 • If your new credentials, or card still do not work, try following

the steps on the “Gate Credentials Troubleshooting” page
and if they still do not work please call the office for support.
• If you did not receive a new credential, or have deleted it by accident, please follow the steps
in “Gate Credentials Troubleshooting.” If your app, or card still does not work please call or
come to the main office for support.

                                  Gate Credentials Troubleshooting
         If you are yet to download your credential app please follow these steps;
             1. Download the “Protégé Mobile” app within your app store – this will be
seen as a red icon with “ICT” written inside,
             2. Enter the email address you use for the HOA Ivrnet system as the
                username,
             3. Click “Forgot Password” to reset your password,
             4. And then open your app.
             5. Follow app prompts to complete your credentials set up.
If you have issues opening the gates please follow the following instructions.
If the gate is beeping/clicking but not opening, please check if Bluetooth is on inside the
Protégé Mobile app. Bluetooth needs to be ON in the app and not only the main Bluetooth.
         You will need to follow these steps to switch Bluetooth on within the app;

             1. Go into “settings” on your phone,
             2. Pull your screen down and write “Protégé Mobile” in
                search,
             3. Look at “Bluetooth” and make sure this is on (see
                screenshot).

We do recommend switching off the “shake to unlock” option, and
also move the slider all the way across to “Far”.

If you credential still does not work please call the main office at
403-453-1221 so we can check if everything is working on our end for you.

MHOA LAKE ICE UPDATE
                                   GREEN FLAGS ARE FLYING!

The green flags are flying, that means you can go on the lake safely.
The lake is open for skating, walking, ice fishing and more.

Lake rinks are open:
   • Rink 1 (without nets) is for pleasure skating
   • Rink 2 (with nets) is for stick & puck

Please be mindful to adhere to the capacity limits that have been placed on the rinks. Also, if a lake
rink does not have nets, please do not use sticks and pucks on it, this ice is for pleasure skating and
some community members can be intimidated, especially if they are new to skating. It is important for
us to respect and share our facilities with one another.

PLEASE Mahogany, respect the signs and guidelines in place so the facilities can remain
open for the season and for everyone to stay safe.

                                ICE FISHING SAFETY

groomed for skating, crokicurl, etc. and please do not bore holes on cross country ski tracks.
  • Please, ONLY hand-held Augers to be used on the ice.
  • Please refill and pack any fishing holes once finished.
  • Please, no gas cylinders are permitted in the parks or on the lakes at anytime.
  • Reminder that the Mahogany lake and parks are smoke, alcohol and drug free areas.
     THAK YOU!!!!

MAHOGANY SNOW REMOVAL
Who is responsible for pathway snow removal in Mahogany?
Resident: marked BLUE
Residents are responsible for snow removal of any public pathways (including cycle pathways)
that fronts their property line or runs adjacent to the side of their property line. Please see the City
of Calgary snow clearing bylaw for further details.
The bylaw gives property owners/occupants 24 hours after a snowfall ends to clear snow and ice
from the sidewalks bordering their property.
https://www.calgary.ca/csps/abs/bylaws-by-topic/snow-ice.html
Mahogany Homeowners Association: marked GREEN
Like residents, the MHOA is responsible for the clearing of any pathways that border the MHOA
property (or pathways the have the tall black metal fence adjacent to them).
The MHOA also has a snow clearing contract with the City of Calgary to clear the Wetlands
Pathways and the Promenade. These pathways are cleared to the street pathway and does not
include street residential Wetlands access pathways between homes.
City of Calgary: marked RED
The City of Calgary is responsible for the clearing of all pathways bordering City lands and spaces.
Pathways that residential properties are facing or the side of the property is bordering on too. For
example, Mahogany Boulevard near West Beach is cleared by the City of Calgary. With these
Boulevards, the City will only clear one side of the boulevard in this case it is the North side. It is a
cost saving measure on the City of Calgary’s behalf.
