At Jenolan Caves we understand your wedding day is the most important
day of your life. Our team of professionals will organise every detail leaving
you to enjoy your special day. We will help you have a wonderful
experience that will be exciting and memorable.
You have several choices of where both your wedding ceremony and
reception can be held from our world famous Cathedral Chamber, stunning
Blue Lake or the well-appointed Kanangra Boyd Gallery. You can also have
pre-dinner drinks under the wisteria on the Terrace or in our Guest Lounge
by the fire in the cooler months.
We have available a range of reception packages for you to choose from, or
our wedding coordinator can design a tailor made package to suit your
requirements.
All our wedding menu’s are designed by our Executive Chef and are of the
same quality and standard as the meals in our award winning Chisolm’s
Restaurant. We can also cater for any dietary requirements upon request.

Jenolan Caves Ceremony Venues
Jenolan Caves offers a variety of unique and stunning locations for your wedding ceremony
ranging from deep underground in our world renowned Lucas Cave, Cathedral Chamber to
around the richly coloured Blue Lake to the amazing backdrop of Carlotta’s Arch.
As each cave varies in size and carrying capacity the chosen location will affect the number
of guests able to be accommodated.
The options we have available are as follows;
The Cathedral – Lucas Cave
The Cathedral is a large space catering for up to 100 guests.
There is a CD player permanently residing in this large chamber.
The room is the tallest on display at Jenolan, measuring 52
metres at its highest point.
There is a walk of around 300 steps to reach this chamber. You
and your guests will be given ample time and support to reach
the destination. One guide will escort the groomsmen and guests
to the chamber, the other guide will escort the bride and her
attendants a short while later.
The Temple of Baal
The Temple of Baal is an aesthetically pleasing
cave, boasting pristine formations and a range of
impressive colours. The entrance to the Temple of
Baal is through a 100m man made tunnel, proving a
creative canvas for artistic photography.
The Temple of Baal can cater for a maximum of 30
guests, making it an ideal location for an intimate
ceremony.
Carlotta’s Arch
Located a short walk from the Carlotta car park, Carlotta’s Arch
provides a stunning backdrop to ceremonies of unlimited size.
The arch frames the majestic Blue Lake and the rolling hills to
capture the spectacular landscape of the Jenolan Valley.
The path has no steps and is gravelled up to the Arch where
concrete paths are introduced. This makes it a suitable option
for those with mobility concerns.

The Coach House
A twilight cave, on the eastern side of the Grand Arch, the
Coach House is a dynamic space with several ideal
locations for ceremonies to be held. Sunlight streaming
into the cave ensures a dramatic background to your
ceremony.
It is a large space and as such, guest numbers are not
limited. It also has many scenes suitable for stunning
photographic sessions.
The Blue Lake
Surrounded by the beauty of nature, your ceremony will
be complimented by the deep blue of the lake, the
greenery of native plants and the music of native fauna.
Located on the eastern side of the Grand Arch, the path to
this venue is mostly flat and a combination of paved and
gravelled paths. There is no limit of guest numbers at this
venue.
Pricing
The hire of venues is at a cost of $880 for weddings taking place between 9am and 5pm.For
weddings taking place after 5pm the cost is $1100.This cost includes the use of venue for a
maximum of two hours, the service of two Jenolan Guides, Signing Table, 2 chairs and
White Tablecloth. Any venue use greater than the two hours will incur an additional fee of
$150 per hour or part thereof.
Due to the public demand to visit the Show Caves we regret that on Saturdays and Sundays
weddings cannot be held before 4.00pm and during School Holidays before 6.00pm
Music & Flowers
There is an Audio CD System in the Cathedral Chamber of Lucas Cave with a preset list of
tracks available upon request. You are welcome to bring your own music, if you do so, we
will require your CD in Audio format, no later than seven days prior to your wedding.
A portable CD player is recommended for other venues. Fresh flowers, petals, rice, bubbles
or confetti are not permitted for use in the caves for environmental reasons. Artificial flowers
only.
Photography
Professional Photographers and flash photography are welcomed. We recommend that
flashes are used and video cameras have low light capabilities. At the end of this document,
we have compiled a list of providers who have worked at Jenolan previously.

Jenolan Caves Reception Venues
Jenolan Caves House hosts four reception venues within the Grand Hotel each offering their
own atmosphere and style. These venues will vary in suitability depending on the size and
style of your reception and the space you will require.
Kanangra Boyd Gallery
This is a large function room located on the first
floor of Historic Caves House with Dance Floor,
PA System, Data Projector, Bar and Bathroom
Facilities. This room allows scope for
decoration, you are limited only by your
creativity.
The Kanangra Boyd Gallery can cater for a
maximum of 100 guests.
If you book this venue for less than 50 people, a
$500 fee is applicable.
Lily’s Room
This space is located to the rear of Chisolm’s Grand Dining room on
the first floor of Historic Caves House. It is a warm, ambient room, built
in the Victorian Era. Its character allows for decoration to suit the needs
of the bridal party, whilst maintaining architectural grandeur.
Lily’s room can accommodate a maximum of 60 guests. If booking this
space for less than 30 people, a $500 fee is applicable.
Guest Lounge
The Guest Lounge is located off the terrace on
the ground floor of Historic Caves House.
Formerly used as a ballroom, it has hardwood
floors and French doors opening onto the
terrace. This room has a small stereo with ipod
docking station, the furniture can be rearranged
to suit your needs.
This room is available for pre dinner drinks and
canapés. A hire fee of $380 is applicable for up
to 2 hours use.

Alabaster Package
4 1/2 Hour Reception Held in the Kanangra Boyd Gallery

Package Availability
Reception Venues
If you choose to use the reception venues and your guest list is under the specified guest
minimum, there will be a room hire fee of $500.00
Children’s prices
For children up to 14 years of age a special children’s menu at a rate of $35 per child is
available.
Accommodation
Please note we have a variety of accommodation. Caves House offers both ensuited & non
ensuited rooms. The Mountain Lodge rooms are all ensuited
Jenolan Caves Wedding Booking Conditions
1. Information Validity
All information, rates and inclusions are for Weddings held between 1st April 2014 and
31st March 2015. All prices are inclusive of GST.
2. The Tentative Booking
Your booking with us is very important, so to confirm the date you have booked we will
require written confirmation and a $2500 deposit within FOURTEEN DAYS of your
tentative booking being made. The Hotel reserves the right to cancel any tentative
bookings not confirmed within 14 days of the reservation being made.
3. Ceremony Timing
The use of each ceremony venue is for a maximum of two hours including entry and exit
from the area and photographs. Any alterations and extensions of times must be agreed
to by the management. Every additional hour or part thereof will incur a $150.00 fee.
4. Reception Timing
Day Wedding Reception
Room available from 9.00am until 4.00pm
Evening Wedding Reception
Room available from 5.30pm until 11.30pm
Any alterations and extensions of times must be agreed to by the management. A
$350.00 per hour fee is applicable.
5. Food and Beverage Selection
Final Food and Beverage selections are to be advised 6 weeks prior to your wedding.
Notification of special dietary requirements must be given a minimum of 14days prior to
your wedding
6. Final Numbers
Final numbers are required 14 days prior to your wedding reception. Any decrease in
guest numbers after this date will still be charged. Any additional guests to those

confirmed will be charged for with at least 48hrs notice. Extra guests with
less than 48hrs notification cannot be catered for.
7. Damage
You, as the organizers are financially responsible for any damage sustained to Hotel /
Cave property during your function.
8. Insurance
The Hotel will take all necessary care, but cannot take responsibility for any damage or
loss of merchandise or personal belongings left in the Hotel / Cave prior, during or after
the function.
9. Ceremony Seating
Any seating required during the Wedding Ceremony is the responsibility of the wedding
party. This needs to be brought to the caves and carried in and out the cave by the
wedding party. Chairs must be folding and held in a carry bag.(This excludes the
“Cathedral” Lucas Cave where there are folding seats permanently stored a maximum of
20 seats available without extra fees associated with set up/pull down being charged.
Cancellation, Transfer & Payment Policy
Cancellation
We would be disappointed if the Wedding were to be cancelled. In the event of
cancellation the following policies apply:
a) Cancellation made more than 6 months in advance will incur a $250.00 cancellation
fee with the remainder of deposit reimbursed.
b) Cancellation made less than 6 months, but more than 3 months in advance, the
deposit will be retained as cancellation fee.
c) Cancellation made less than 3 months in advance, the deposit will be retained as
cancellation fee plus $1000.00.
Transfer
a) Transfer made more than 4 months in advance will not incur an additional fee.
b) Transfer made less than 4 months, but more than 2 months in advance, a $500.00
transfer fee will apply
c) Transfer made less than 2 months, but more than 2 weeks in advance, a $1000.00
transfer fee will apply
d) Transfer made less than 2 weeks in advance will be deemed as a cancellation and re-
booking. The deposit will be retained plus $1000.00 fee is applicable.
Payment
Ceremony Venue, Reception Venue, Accommodation, Food & Beverage
A deposit of $2500 is required to secure your booking. This payment must be made within
14 days of a tentative booking being made to secure the date and venues.
Full prepayment of Ceremony, Accommodation, Food, Beverage and Sundries is
required 14 days prior to the event.
Any extra beverages organized must be settled on the night with credit card or cash. Any
sundries associated with stay must be paid on check out
Credit Cards, Cash, EFTPOS, Direct Credit, Bank Transfer and Bank Cheques accepted.
Personal Cheques only accepted a minimum of four weeks in advance.
Visa, Master Card, are accepted. American Express or Diners Club Credit Card will incur

Getting to Jenolan:
Jenolan Caves is just 1 ¼ Hours from Katoomba or 2 ½ Hours from Sydney making it an
easy to get to venue for small or large groups. Car pooling is a popular option for travelling to
Jenolan though we can source a range of transfer options from economic mini-bus to full
size coach and even limousine transfer. Ask our Manager Corporate, Functions & Events to
source your transfer quote.
