also want to bring a little for Dubai Airport (in Euros/ US Dollars), as we have a several hour

• We are at a huge advantage this year to be coming back on Friday so students have the full
weekend to recover‐ attendance COMPUSORY on Monday to retain reputation of the trip.

parents can track flight. Meet outside the big M&S in airport.JGHS South Africa Project 2019

Verbal Notes from previous slide
• Suncream difficult to buy in SA‐ bring PLENTY
• Bring re‐usable plastic bottle to fill up from large bottles in the room
• Smoking discussed. Some safety issues in the past with students trying to sneak off‐ plea to
students and parents to come and discuss with us if their student smokes and we can
accommodate this in a safe manner
• Reasons for no swimming in sea discussed‐ large riptides and fatalities witnessed in previous
years. Non‐negotiable.
• Code of conduct given as a reference point‐ to be kept at home. Students will be issued a
pupil diary on the first day which will contain another copy of this.JGHS South Africa Project 2019
Dress code expectations
• When in school we are representing JGHS, and our South African partner school
children are immaculately dressed. We appreciate the weather is warm and heavy
clothing is undesirable, however clothes such as linen trousers, thin blouses, smart
sleeveless tops for girls, and polo tops for boys are they kind of clothing we would
suggest for school visits. Shorter shorts should be saved for the waterpark and beach
visits.
