WHANGAROA - Access to the Whangaroa Harbour is available for

follow the road past the Marlin Hotel to the end of Whangaroa. There
is also a boat ramp situated on the other side of the Harbour at Totara
North, this has limited parking spaces.
MATAURI BAY - offers a camping ground and two beautiful beaches,
one being a popular surf spot and the other offering great snorkelling.
You can launch your boat from the beach (4x4 only). A memorial, made
by international sculptor Chris Booth, commemorates the ship ‘The

Waterfalls in Kerikeri
 Kerikeri is very fortunate to have an abundance of Waterfalls within
 close proximity to the town, Rainbow Falls (Pg 17), Fairy Pools
 on the Rainbow Falls track, Charlies Rock (Pg 17) and now a new
 waterfall that was hidden for more than 40 years, despite being a
 short walk from central Kerikeri. A massive volunteer effort has
 restored public access to the Te Wairere Waterfall Track, check out
 Walking Tracks on Pg 22.
