WHY IN-SALON EDUCATION?
INSPIRE • ENCOURAGE CREATIVITY • TRANSFORM BEHAVIORS
Inspire your team, instill new creative skills to offer guests and transform
behaviors to elevate the guest experience within your salon. In addition to
seasonal advanced education on the calendar, in-salon education gives you,
the salon, the opportunity to customize learning and motivate your team to
another level.
HOW TO BOOK YOUR IN-SALON EDUCATION
Identify class domain based on your salon/stylist needs (Color, Cut,
Retail, etc.).
Review educators by class type and price point.
Travel and accommodation expenses are usually not included in
educator day rate and should be taken into budget consideration.
Salon will contact Educator directly to schedule and confirm
availability, class needs, and logistics.
Salon is responsible for the total invoice sent by the educator
including any product/supplies required for the class.
Salon is responsible for cost of printed materials. Note that all hair
color classes listed on page 11 require printed materials.
In-Salon education is not eligible for benefits or co-op
reimbursement.

with state guidelines and CDC recommendations.

Masks, gloves, face shields, aprons/smocks (dependent on your
specific government mandates) will be worn by all for the entirety of
the class.
Social Distancing
Strive to maintain proper social distance during class.
Occupancy
Proper occupancy in line with your local and regional mandates.
Inclusive of all learners, models, and educators.
Ensure proper workspace sanitization.
Please do not attend education if within the past 14 days you have:
Experiences any symptoms of COVID-19.
Been directly exposed or have been advised to self-quarantine

John has been in the Beauty Industry for over 30 years. He was very instrumental in the
development of Aveda’s entire Full Spectrum Hair Color umbrella and in his role of
Director of Global Hair Color Education and Sales at Aveda. John left his role at Aveda
after opening Salon 808 and The Retreat Aveda Salon and Spa at Macy’s until 2011.
That passion and commitment to the beauty industry and education, brought John his a
role overseeing Aveda Education at The Salon People for the Florida until his retirement
from full-time education this past Spring 2020.

Marisol discovered her passion for beauty at the age of 12 in New York. She studied
and pursued her love for the craft on the island of Puerto Rico. Marisol found her
