WELCOME TO CLEVER CLOGS PRE-SCHOOL
We hope that learning and discovering will take on a whole new
meaning when you join our family.
Clever Kids Learning Hub's Vision
Our vision is to provide play-based learning in an enriched and stimulating
environment that caters for the individuality and uniqueness of each child.
What does this all mean?
Our learning hub believes that when we play we are happy and when we are happy we learn.
During our time working internationally we gained a better understanding of how children learn
best. We have realised the absolute necessity of using an approach that emphasises play, creativity
and child-led discovery. Each child comes with their own sense of wonder and it is our job to
encourage and ignite it.
The Reggio Emilia approach is based upon the following principles:
Children have the opportunity to have some control over the direction of their learning.
Children have the opportunity to learn through sensory experiences of listening, touching,
moving and observing.
Children learn through relationships with other children and the adults in their world.CKLH - CLEVER CLOGS
How does this all work?
Clever Clogs Pre-school's philosophy is
consciously changing the traditional way of
education in early childhood. We use the
triangular approach by involving the parents,
the teacher and the child in the learning
process. We encourage each parent to be
actively involved in their children's ideas and
interests so that there is a collective atmosphere
of community building between the school and
home.
Putting it into practice.
Clever Clogs will be split into two different age
groups. Our Nursery class will be ages 3 years to 4
years and our Grade R class will be ages 5 years to 6
years. There will be a teacher and an assisstant in
each class to facilitate each child's discovering and
learning. The Nursery class is entirely play based
and the Grade R class will lay the foundation
perfectly for our Grade 1 at CKLH. The art studio
("The Atelier") is a fundamental part of a Reggio
Emilia approached school. This will be available to
all the children, providing the opportunity for

STRUCTURE
Our Admission's process is twofold; it includes an interview with you as the child's parents as
well as a three day visit to Clever Clogs. This is to ensure that the environment will fit your
child's emotional and social needs. We requeast that all reports from therapists, psychologists
and psychiatrists be submitted before a place can be offered.

OPTIONS AVAILABLE MONTHLY COST for 11 months PER YEAR
NURSERY 07:30 - 12:00 R3 100.00 R34 000.00
NURSERY 07:30 - 14:30 includes Aftercare R3 500.00 R38 500,00
NURSERY 07:30 - 18:00 includes Aftercare R3 800.00 R41 800.00
GRADE R 07:30 - 12:30 R3 300.00 R36 00.00
GRADE R 07:30 - 14:30 includes Aftercare R3 700.00 R40 700.00
GRADE R 07:30 - 18:00 includes Aftercare R4 000.00 R44 000.00

*A refundable deposit of one month’s fees is payable upfront and will be returned when the months’ paid
notice has been given and all fees are up to date.
*A non-refundable development levy of R2500.00 is payable on acceptance of the application. This levy
is used to upgrade our various facilities within the hub.
Terms and conditions:
* Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with all the policies available on our website.
* The monthly rate will remain fixed for the duration of 2019.
* Clever Kids Learning Hub and the parent will sign this proposal. This will serve as agreement on
the proposed pricing, schedule and payment terms.
* The accepted admission of the child is taken as agreed to these terms, whether Prospectus is
signed or not.
* Clever Kids Learning Hub requires at least one calendar month paid written notice of cancellation
in advance.
* Payment can be made either by EFT or Direct Deposit.
* Monthly payments are paid for the month in advance and must be paid by the 5th of every month.
* Any late payments will incur a fine of 5% per day.
* If the fees and overdue charges are not paid in full by the 1st of the following month your child
will not be allowed to attend school.
* The fees are a fixed monthly rate for 11 months in the year. No fees are payable for December.
