   • Technical Program Application: http://www.tinyurl.com/DCTechnical

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR DUAL CREDIT?
       1. Submit the General Education Dual Credit Application via Google Forms.
You can find the form at http://www.tinyurl.com/DCDualCreditApplication or on the DCHS website.
If you’ve not met the required scores on the applications, you aren’t eligible to participate at this time.

       2. Enter the “COLLEGE HOURS” course into your IC course requests during the DCHS scheduling
window for the period(s) you hope to take college classes. Match your number of COLLEGE HOURS
courses and blocks to the number of classes and the times you requested on the dual credit application.
       Course requests key:
       1st block (FALL) = COLLEGE HOURS 1
       2nd block (FALL) = COLLEGE HOURS 2
       3rd block (FALL) = COLLEGE HOURS 3
       4th block (FALL) = COLLEGE HOURS 4
       1st block (SPRING) = COLLEGE HOURS 5
       2nd block (SPRING) = COLLEGE HOURS 6
       3rd block (SPRING) = COLLEGE HOURS 7
       4th block (SPRING) = COLLEGE HOURS 8
Example: You indicated you'd like to take dual credit classes 1st block in the fall and 4th block in the
       spring.
March 23, 2020 Daviess County High School - Daviess County Public Schools
You would need to enter COLLEGE HOURS 1 and COLLEGE HOURS 8 on your DCHS schedule
       requests in IC.

       3. Complete an application for admission to OCTC at http://www.owensboro.kctcs.edu and select FALL
2020 as the term for which you are applying. You need to make sure you use the correct Social Security
number on the application. If you’ve already taken dual credit with OCTC, you can skip this step.

       4. At the end of the application, you will find two numbers in RED.
SAVE THESE and e-mail them to trey.pippin@daviess.kyschools.us

       5. OCTC will be notified of your intention to enroll.

       6. Regularly check your school e-mail for additional information.

Message to Seniors from Mrs. Powers
Seniors, here's some ideas of how to make the most of your time at home:

   • Do a virtual tour on the college websites. Many are advertising this as a replacement for "live" campus
       visits.
   • Email any of your questions to the admissions counselors of your prospective schools. Most are working
even more online and are easily accessible.
   • Keep up with your emails to see how colleges plan to move forward with things that may have already
been scheduled like open houses, scheduling weekends, etc.
   • Continue to check the DCHS guidance webpage for local scholarships.
   • Review the deadlines for housing deposits.
   • Don't miss the accept/decline options for scholarships you have been offered at various colleges.
   • If you are taking college classes now, stay on top of deadlines, These grades follow you to college!
   • As always, you can email me (Mrs. Powers) for any help with scholarships or college applications.
               - Mrs. Powers
