1/6/2021 Your Valpo: 's Jan. 5, 2021 News & Notes View in browser Meet the New VUAA Board President: Chelsey Bradford ’16 Gordon Chelsey graduated with a bachelor of science in civil engineering in 2016 and currently works as a stormwater engineer for Porter County, Indiana. During her time at Valpo, she was president of the Student Alumni Association and involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) chapter. Chelsey has been a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2017. She is excited to lead and continue the progress of the VUAA board and all alumni over the next two years. Support Valparaiso University Valpo First-Generation Student Receives “Realizing the Dream” Scholarship Larissa Chavarria ’23 is the 2020–2021 recipient of the “Realizing the Dream” scholarship at Valparaiso University. The annual award, made possible by a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., recognizes outstanding academic success by awarding a $3,000 scholarship to a first-generation sophomore student who excelled during their freshman year. Sworn in Illinois Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Tad has worked for many years in private practice with an emphasis on civil litigation, most notably in the field of church property disputes.
