                           2021 4-H Enrollment Process Update

Our new enrollment system will be changing over on November 1st. We have decided
that with changes in the new system, that we will send out re-enrollment forms this year
for returning members and advisors. New members will complete the enrollment form
as normal. You will receive a packet with re-enrollment forms, calendar and a 4-H
Handbook in the mail mid-December. Once the packet is received, you will need to
check and make sure all the information is correct, make any adjustments, sign and
return. Should be a simple process on your part. As we receive the information back,
advisors will still be able to go in and view the information. More information will be
available. The final date to enroll, pay enrollment fees, and register for a project is
March 1, 2021.
New with the system this year, all animal information will be entered. A picture of your
animal project will be required to submit no later than May 15th. Any questions on
enrollment for 2021, contact Deb Knowles or Melinda Ryan.

Deepest Sympathy to the Runyan Family

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family of Bud Runyan. Bud was very
active in the Pork Council and great supporter of 4-H and FFA. Bud was the inspiration
behind the pork food booth at the fair. He ran it for many years. His hard work and
dedication to our community is so appreciated. He will be missed.

December 4-H Kindness Challenge

The Holiday season is traditionally a time for family, friends, cheer, and a little magic! We all know that
the past year has been one of many firsts, lasts, and new, but one thing that has not changed is what a
little kindness can do in your community. Here at the Extension office, our lights are on and shining
bright and we want ALL of you to join us this month for “My lights shine bright with kindness challenge.”
Light bulbs will be posted to our website and emailed upon request, for every light that you make shine
with an act of kindness this month, you will be entered into a drawing for a $20.00 gift card to a local
business of your choice. You can light a bulb by printing it off and writing your act of kindness on it and
getting it back into the office. You can email, drop it in either drop slot/box (if you put it in the outside
box, make sure to put it in a plastic baggie), or put it in an envelope and mail it to me: Kiley Horn, OSU
Extension Champaign County, 1512 S Us Hwy 68, Suite B100, Urbana, OH 43078. I will accept all entries
received and /or postmarked by December 31st. Make sure your bulbs have your name on them too. I
will be hanging the entries on our front windows as they come in for all of Champaign County to see the
kindness and holiday magic our 4-Hers are so great at sharing! This is open to all current 4-H members.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 6, 2020. GO BE KIND!!
