overview
Year after year, mental health and substance use challenges rank first and
second in community assessments of health issues facing residents of
Sheboygan and its surrounding counties. These same assessmentsi also
point to a major gap in access to specialized services to address these needs.
Rogers Behavioral Health is on the verge of reducing this disparity. Based in Wisconsin since 1907,
Rogers is a private, not-for-profit provider of behavioral health programs and is nationally recognized
for its specialized psychiatry and addiction services. Rogers has three inpatient hospitals and
20 outpatient clinics across the country. We treat 1,500 patients a day; 91% are improved at the
time of discharge. Rogers services will soon be available for the greater Sheboygan community.
Rogers in Sheboygan
Set to open in 2021, Rogers in Sheboygan will include a clinic for day treatment programming as
well as the Center for Living—the area’s first structured housing facility accommodating patients
in treatment for a range of mental health and addiction issues.
Within the clinic, adults will find help and hope with specialized programs for OCD, anxiety,
depression, other mood disorders, and co-occurring substance use. The clinic will also include a
mental health recovery program for adolescents ages 12-17.
Built adjacent to the clinic, the Center For Living will provide an option for a safe, convenient place
to live while in treatment or as patients transition back into family, work, and community life.

Having a good support system and engaging with experts are key elements to successfully talking
about mental health and overcoming the challenges associated with mental illness. The more we
know, and the more we engage with others, the better we can provide helpful support to each other.

Providing Access to Healing, known as PATH, is an
innovative program in Sheboygan that connects students
to therapists within school settings to address general
mental health challenges. Rogers envisions partnering
with PATH, school counselors, and others to offer eight-
week groups—in person or virtual—on rotating topics
such as eating disorders, self-harm, and cyberbullying.
