Thank you for taking the time to read to the 2021 Fall President
Program Guide! Bob Lindbloom
Now that Covid-19 restrictions have loosened, we are able to Vice President
bring back some of your favorite special events such as Steve Jacobson
Woofstock (September 12), Halloween Hollow (October 8 and
9), Breakfast with Santa (December 4) and Winter Jump Fest Secretary
(January 7). We are also able to once again offer some of our Mary Louise Knoerzer
regular programs such as Youth Basketball, Indoor Open Gym
and Adult Trips. The guide also features several new programs Treasurer
such as Youth Field Trips during days off of school (Adventure Mike Gandy
Days), several Language classes, Rock Painting, Youth Magic
classes, Babysitting courses, Lunchtime Bingo for Seniors and Commissioner
unique Cooking programs (Hot Chocolate Bombs, Tik Tok Jeff Apel
Cooking, etc.).

There is no better time to join the new and improved Oaks Dan Gilbert
Recreation and Fitness Center for your fitness goals. The
fitness center, lobby, locker rooms and meeting rooms are Commissioner
receiving a modern facelift that includes a new, contemporary Kathryn O’Connor
color scheme and brand new flooring. We are also in the
process of replacing all of our sectorized equipment with a Legal Counsel
brand new, state-of-the-art line. This is just the beginning of a John O’Driscoll
multi-year modernization plan that is sure to improve your
fitness experience.
Park Board Meetings
Construction on the new Whisper Creek Park, located at Regan Park District Board
Road and Whisper Creek Way, is also taking shape. The park Meetings are held on the

Rock Painting Bricks 4 Kidz classes explore architecture,

Join Ms. Jenny and see what all the commotion is about and have fun while learning a new
dance style! From the graceful movements of Ballet to the quick beat of Hip-Hop/Jazz to
the synchronized sounds of taping toes we have it all! While having a great time learning a
new dance style, dancers will also learn how to count music and create rhythm patterns
of their own. White ballet shoes and black tap and jazz shoes should be worn for
appropriate classes. Pre-Ballet: This class will introduce the basic steps and positions in
ballet while learning a fun song and dance routine. Your child’s confidence and appreciation for the art form
will grow as they master new skills and make new friends. Ballet: This class provides an excellent background
for all types of dance. Coordination, strength and flexibility are complimented with the grace and poise
which ballet class offers. Tapping Toes: Hear the synchronized sounds of taping toes while we shuffle off to
Buffalo learning multiple tap techniques. Classes will include basic principles of tap through music and
movement exercises, with an emphasis on rhythm and timing. High Voltage Hip-Hop/Jazz: Learn the latest
street-style moves just like your favorite pop stars. Dance to the beat and get an excellent work-out while
improving muscle strength and flexibility. Fun choreography will be inspired by popular music. Lyrical: Learn
a dance style that uses aspects of ballet, jazz and modern while expressing a message!

ADULT LEAGUE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
All participants must be 18 years of age by the date of the first contest (unless otherwise noted).
First-come, first-served. Returning teams do not receive priority registration.
Teams may pay 50% of the registration fee to secure a spot. Remaining balance must be paid by the
registration deadline.
Any team cancelling before the registration deadline will be charged 5% of the registration fee (minimum
$10). Refunds will not be issued to teams cancelling after the registration deadline.
There will be a $25 late fee for any team registering after the registration deadline.
