♀️Natalie Pena’s Portfolio 2019-2020 ♀️
All About Me My name is Natalie Pena and I am a junior at Saunders high school. I chose to study cosmetology and barbering because ever since I was a child, the idea of beautifying always fascinated me. Whether it was makeup, hair, or clothes I just wanted to make people feel beautiful. What I love most about this program is that it gives me all the knowledge I need to succeed in this industry. Every year that I have been in the program I’ve always learned from my teachers that trial and error is what is going to help me learn best so I never give up on learning a new skill.
Accomplishments Some of my accomplishments of this year would be making honor roll for every quarter this year and keeping my GPA above a 90. I’ve also been certified, with the help of my wonderful teacher, Ms.kingston for infection control, Barbicide Covid-19, and Barbicide certifications
Basic perm set (Full head) I used a 9 section parting to complete this 01/30
State Board Set This set includes 3 basic rollers(top), perm rods,pin curls, and finger wave demo(back) 02/05
Roller set This is a basic roller set rolled towards the face giving lots of volume 01/03
Pin curl Set Pin curls are a way to do nice heatless curls 02/06
Before and after Before This is my clients hair before a root touch up This will be followed up by haircut and blow dry 03/13

Duplication Style using pin curls Using a full head of pin curls I duplicated a pinned up hairstyle with deep curls 02/07
Duplicated blow dry For this I started off by adding volume to the roots and then using a round brush to create slight waves
Duplicated up do ♀️ This is an easy updo, you take the hair that frames the face, twist back and tie, add some curls and done. 02/12
Duplicated updo ♀️ This style is a low bun for a casual day out. It’s achieved by making a low ponytail, which is then inverted and Bobby pinned in place 02/12
Nail design duplication For this duplication I decided to do a dark base and light colored design. 02/14
My Best Work All of the work I am proudest of ✊
Blowdry This blowdry is one of my best because it challenged by ability to get the hair as straight as possible. 05/18
Eyelash extensions I did this set of eyelashes using individual lashes which took me about 30 minutes each eye 05/21
Box braids ❤️ These were achieved by adding pre stretched braiding hair to the braids. 04/30
Last year hair show hairstyle When I did this hair design, I was thinking of something you would see in a movie 05/19/19

Eye makeup application During free time at school, I’ve gotten the most creative 10/25
Voluminous blow dry on short hair This is my grandmother's hair she ended up satisfied with her hairstyle 09/24
Voluminous blow out Added lots of volume to the root and then used a round bring to bump the ends and middle of the hair. 01/04
