Land Director Andy Hartwright says the agreements

Final arrival at Icon
Manchester Airport
scheme
Work has completed on the final warehouse/logistics
development at Icon Industrial’s £250 million Manchester
Airport scheme.

Built on behalf of THG, Unit 2 comprises a single-aspect
warehouse building of 459,000 sq ft, with Grade A integral
office accommodation, two-storey hub offices, and is
located off Sunbank Lane near the M56.

It is the fourth development at the 45-acre site at the
World Logistics Hub, which was acquired by strategic joint
venture partners Stoford and TPG Real Estate in July 2017.

Unit 1 is THG’s £150 million Icon Building, delivering one
of Europe’s largest logistics and content creation studio
facilities.

Unit 3 is a Grade A speculative warehouse/logistics
development of 141,000 sq ft, that was also sold to THG
and Unit 4, which is sited at the entrance to the scheme,
was completed on behalf of Alpha LSG in 2020.

It is estimated that the completed Icon Manchester
Airport scheme could create more than 3,000 new jobs
in the region.

We are extremely proud to have built Icon
Manchester Airport into one of the highest
quality logistics locations in the UK. The fact
that deals for all four units were concluded
so quickly is testament to Icon Manchester
Airport’s unrivalled location in the heart
of the Northern Powerhouse.

Planning Manager joins the team

Stoford has welcomed a new Planning Manager as it continues to expand
                    its land and development team.

Stacey Green joined the business in a new post which was created
within the in-house land and planning team, identifying new sites for the
                    company’s development pipeline.

She joined Stoford from planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore
in Birmingham, where she was Planning Associate.

Stacey has more than 14 years’ experience in the planning sector, having
worked with local authorities including Stratford-on-Avon District Council
Stacey Green and Bromsgrove District Council and planning consultancies.
Planning Manager She will work alongside Land Director, Andy Hartwright - who also joined
