associations. Exhibitors and visitors are expected to enjoy the

machinery industry in the heart of Cairo, the most vibrant market place and the capital of the

trans-Mediterranean Commodity market.
The 2017 edition had grown and delivered beyond expectations and the 2018 event is expected
to be evaluated as better, if not at par with similar leading shows in the sector internationally and
that show positioned as the best platform in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The 3 rd edition of Cairo International Wood & Woodworking Machinery

Cairo WoodShow along with its partners Egyptian Furniture Export Council
(EFEC) and Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) successfully hosted the 88%
conference under the theme ‘Furniture and Wooden Products

Orientation towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution 4.0’. It took place from 9 – 11 December, 2017. It was
officially supported by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Egypt.
The conference was a series of important panel discussions that were based on three aspects of the furniture
industry: Future trends, Challenges and Solutions & Opportunities and Investments. Speakers who were a part
of the discussions were from reputed organizations and associations from Egypt and other international
markets. Keynote presentations were given by international players from the wood and woodworking
machinery sectors like Homag Group, Biesse Group, SCM Group, Gabon Special Economic Zone, Eumabois
Association, American Hardwood Export Council, Steel Wood Industries and more.
Cairo WoodShow B2B Meeting Report 2017
Cairo WoodShow in cooperation with Industrial Modernization Center - IMC organized B2B Meetings Sessions
during Cairo Wood Show. The main objective of the B2B Platform was to strengthen the ties between the
International and Local Exhibitors of the Cairo WoodShow with the visitors which generated new businesses
and increased the participants’ awareness about the latest products and market trends in the furniture industry
and transform it for a better future. During the exhibition day, more than 1100 B2B meetings held and these
meetings successfully creat more than 195 business opportunity. Around 95 opportunities for international
exhibitors and 100 opportunities for local exhibitors.
