TO THE PTS ACADEMY STADIUM Excitement for the 2019/20 season at Northampton Town is high. A new look squad, led by the former Manchester City and England defender Keith Curle has been recruited, and optimism for a good season is in plentiful supply. Win or lose, Northampton Town Football Club are never far from the headlines. Media coverage of the club has rocketed in recent seasons, which included a visit from a star studded Manchester United side in the 2016/17 season of course, a game that was beamed live around the world on Sky Sports. Worldwide coverage is great, but we don’t forget our roots and we are very much made in Northampton. Being a huge part of the local community is very important to the club, and not only does the club’s extensive work in the Northamptonshire community help enrich and improve the lives of thousands, the club has also developed a number of talented young local footballers, with seven local players coming through the Northampton Town Academy to sign professional contracts in the last year. Beyond that, while the beauty of football is that the result can never be guaranteed, one thing we can be sure of is that Northampton Town’s off the field standards are the envy of many up and down the country. In May 2019, the club were awarded the EFL Inside Stadium Entertainment award for the matchday entertainment and experience offered to young families, while a few weeks previously the club had also won the EFL Family Excellence Award for the matchday experience offered to families. Throughout this document you will see in more detail some of the fantastic opportunities that exist at Northampton Town Football Club.
