1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
1.2 In all rules governing this regatta:
1.3 [NP] denotes a rule that shall not be grounds for protests by a boat. This changes RRS 60.1(a).
1.4 [DP] denotes a rule for which the penalty is at the discretion of the protest committee and may be less
than a disqualification.
1.5 [For 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser only] RRS Appendix T, arbitration, will apply.
1.6 [For 12 mR class only] The modified version of Word Sailing Addendum Q , Umpired Fleet Racing,
which is attached to the Sailing Instructions and posted on the official notice board will apply and
takes precedence over any conflicting instructions.
1.7 [DP] Competitors born later than December 31st 2001 shall wear personal flotation devices at all times
while afloat, except briefly while changing or adjusting clothing or personal equipment. This changes
RRS 40.
1.8 [For 12 mR class] [DP] [NP] Safety Rules
1.8.1 While racing, if a crew member falls overboard and is no longer connected to the boat, the boat
shall:
a) immediately notify the Race Committee on VHF channel 15 that she has a crew member
overboard and
b) immediately attempt to recover the crew member.

1.8.2 In the interest of safety, rescue crafts (a boat’s tender, umpire vessel, race committee vessel etc.)
may give immediate assistance.
1.8.3 A boat shall not continue in the race until the crew member is back on board or she receives the
information that the crew member is on board of a rescue craft in accordance with SI 1.6.2.
1.8.4 As soon as possible after the crew member is back on board or after receiving the information that
the crew member is on board of a rescue craft in accordance with SI 1.6.2, the boat shall take a
One-Turn Penalty under RRS 44.2.
1.8.5 If the boat decides to retire from the race promptly instead of taking the One-Turn Penalty,
her score shall be equal to the number of starters for that race without a hearing. The scoring
abbreviation will be MOB.
1.8.6 If she fails to comply with SI 1.6.3 or SI 1.6.4 or to retire promptly, she shall be disqualified
without a hearing and her score shall not be excluded.
This changes RRS 41, 47.2, 63.1, A4, A5 and A11. However, her obligations as per RRS 1.1 are not changed.
1.9 No national prescriptions will apply.
1.10 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.
2 [NP] [DP] ADVERTISING
2.1 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
2.2 If bibs are provided by the organizing authority, competitors are kindly asked to wear them while racing
on a voluntary basis. NoR 2.2 may not be enforced by the protest committee. This changes RRS 60.3.
2.3 Details on advertising will be published in the Sailing Instructions.
3 [NP] [DP] ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the 12mR class and 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser class holding valid
measurement certificates for their class. Boats of the 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser class are eligible without a
valid measurement certificate, if the event measurer (class representative) confirms their eligibility.
3.2 A final crew list signed by the skipper shall be delivered to the race office upon registration.
3.3 Each competitor shall be a member of a club affiliated to his national authority of World Sailing.
3.4 Eligible boats and their support boats shall enter by completing the online entry form on the website
www.manage2sail.com until Monday May 11th and paying the required fees.
3.5 Entries after May 11th, 2020 may be accepted upon approval by the organizing authority.

4.3 The entry fee shall be paid upon entering, even if the entry is cancelled later or the boat does not show
up. The entry fee is non-refundable, except for the regatta or class being cancelled by the organizing
authority or if the entry is rejected.
4.4 Other fees:
4.4.1 Additional individual social function tickets or passes may be purchased for an additional € 50,00
per person for each evening event.
4.4.2 Camping on the FSC/DHH club area for an additional fee of € 15,00 per night, including
electricity (230V, AC) at the camp site. Please place your request on the manage2sail website.
4.4.3 Coach boat harbour fee € 40,00 for the time of the event.
4.4.4 Coach boat launching fee € 25,00 per operating sequence.

6 [NP] [DP] MEASUREMENTS
6.1 Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate or the approval of the event measurer in
accordance with NoR 3.1
6.2 All boats may be inspected for class rules compliance at any time during the event.
7 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.
8 VENUE
8.1 The event will be hosted at Flensburger Segel-Club, Quellental, D-24960 Glücksburg.
8.2 The race office will be located at the FSC clubhouse.
8.3 Addendum “Driving Map“ shows the location of the regatta harbour.
8.4 The racing area will be Flensburg Fjord. Addendum “Racing Areas“ shows the location of the race areas.

10 PENALTY SYSTEM
RRS 44.1 will be changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
11 INTERNATIONAL JURY
An International Jury will be appointed in accordance with RRS 91(b). Decisions will be final as
provided in RRS 70.5.
12 SCORING
12.1 One race is required to be completed to constitute a regatta.
12.2 When fewer than four races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race
scores. When four or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race
scores excluding her worst score.
13 [NP] [DP] SUPPORT BOATS
13.1 All support boats shall be registered with the organizing authority and will be required to comply with
local legislation and event Support Team Regulations that will be published in the Sailing Instructions.
The organizing authority may refuse registrations and accept later registrations at her sole discretion.
13.2 Registration fees according to NoR 4.4.3 and 4.4.4.
13.3 The person registering the support boat shall confirm that:
a) each designated driver is holding a valid driving license recognized by a national authority
appropriate for the shipping waters; and
b) anyone who will be using a radio is holding a valid radio operation license recognized by a national
authority appropriate for the shipping waters.
13.4 Support boats may be required to display an identification supplied by the organizing authority.
13.5 Support boats shall carry on board:
■ life jackets / personal flotation devices for all passengers and the driver
■ first-aid kit;
■ VHF radio;
■ device for making sound signals;
■ compass;
■ adequate anchor and tackle for conditions and depth;
■ tow rope (minimum 15m long and 10mm thick);
■ operational engine kill cord (also known as a safety lanyard or automatic engine immobilizer);
■ hand pump or bailer;
■ knife;
■ any additional safety equipment required by local maritime law.
13.6 Support boats shall be insured with valid and for the racing area suitable third-party liability insurance

14.1 All boats must be moored at the Glücksburg yacht harbour of Flensburger Segel-Club. Free mooring is
available from Sunday June 7th to Sunday June 14th.
14.2 Boats shall be kept in their assigned places while they are in the harbour and the club area of
FSC/DHH.
15 [DP] HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS
Boats shall not be hauled out during the regatta except with and according to the terms of written
permission by the race committee.
16 [DP] DIVING EQUIPMENT AND PLASTIC POOLS
Underwater breathing apparatus and plastic pools or their equivalent shall not be used around boats
between the preparatory signal of the first race and the end of the regatta.
17 [DP] RADIO COMMUNICATION
17.1 Except in an emergency or as specified in this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions, a boat that
is racing shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication
that is not available to all boats.
17.2 The race committee may use VHF for race information.
18 PRIZES
18.1 Prizes will be awarded to the best overall scored boats of each class. In each class there will be one prize
awarded for every five boats entered. For the 12 mR class at least three prizes will be awarded, regardless
of the number of entries.
18.2 Additional prizes may be awarded in each class for the different groups of boats.
18.3 [For 12 mR class only] The winner will be awarded with the “Robbe & Berking Baltic Cup”.
18.4 [For 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser only] The winner of the World Cup will be awarded with the perpetual
trophy of the 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser class, donated by VM-Sails, Switzerland.
18.5 [For 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser only] The best Swedish boat will be awarded with the World Cup Challenge
Price perpetual trophy of the 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser class, donated by SESCA. If a Swedish boat wins
the World Cup, the second boat overall is awarded with this trophy.
18.6 [For 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser only] The boat with the longest journey to the event will be awarded with a
perpetual trophy of the 22 sqm Skerry Cruiser class, donated by SESCA.
18.7 Prizes not claimed at the prize giving ceremony will remain with the organizing authority.
19 [DP] MEDIA RIGHTS, TRACKING APP AND MEDIA COMMUNICATION
19.1 By participating in the event competitors automatically grant to the organizing authority the right in
perpetuity to make, use and show, from time to time at their discretion, any motion pictures and live,
taped or filmed television and other reproductions of the athlete during the period of the competition

19.2 All boats are required to carry a smartphone with the KWINDOO tracking app. Further information
will be given in the Addendum “Tracking” of the Sailing Instructions.
19.3 The top three competitors as well as the individual race winners may be required to attend a media
press conference each day.
19.4 Competitors may be required to be available for interviews at the regatta.
20 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY COGNOVITS CLAUSE
20.1 The responsibility for the decision to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with the
skipper; to that extent the skipper also accepts full responsibility for the crew. The skipper is responsible
for the qualification and the correct nautical conduct of the crew as well as for the suitability and the
transport-safe-condition of the registered boat. In cases of force majeure or on grounds of administrative
orders or for safety reasons, the organizer is entitled to make changes in the realization of the event or
to cancel the event. This does not constitute any liability by the organizer towards the participant, if the
reasons for the changes or the cancellation do not result from a willful or grossly negligent behaviour of
the organizer. In case of a violation of obligations that do not constitute primary or material contractual
duties (cardinal obligations), the liability of the organizer for financial and property damages incurred
by the participant during or in connection with the participation in the event and resulting from a
conduct of the organizer, its representatives, servants or agents, is restricted to damages that were caused
willfully or grossly negligent. When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs due to minor negligence,
the liability of the organizer is limited to foreseeable, typical damages. To the extent that the liability
for damages of the organizer is excluded or restricted, the participant also relieves the staff-employees
and representatives, agents, servants, sponsors and individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or
rescue vessels or assist with their use - from the individual liability for damages, as well as all other
individuals who were instructed to act in connection with the realization of the event.
20.2 The effective racing rules of World Sailing, the class rules as well as the regulations of the invitation to
the competition and the Sailing Instructions are to be complied with and are expressly recognized.
20.3 The German law shall prevail.
20.4 Competitors shall present a signed and completed consent and declaration form at registration. For
competitors under 18 years of age these forms shall be signed by a parent or guardian. The forms can be

21 [DP] INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid (and for the racing area suitable) third-party liability
insurance with a minimum cover of € 3.000.000 per incident or the equivalent.
22 PRIVACY POLICY
The organizing authority will process and store personal data collected from entering and participating
in the event. Addendum “Data Privacy Policy” gives relevant information and details. This addendum is

CAMPING
Camping is possible on the sports ground of the Hanseatischen Yachtschule in Glücksburg’s marina area,
weather conditions can lead to significant restrictions. Camping fee € 15,00 per night, including electricity
(230 V, AC) at the camp site. The fee is to be paid without being asked at the registration office while regis-
tering.
The place is available from Monday June 8th, 2020. Binding bookings are not possible. In order to make it
easier for the organizer to plan, it is absolutely necessary to specify the camping requirement when registering.
Please book at ‘Regattaartikel’. There is no claim to accommodation on this sports field. An official camp site
is located in Holnis.
