NGX ULTRA HIGH-DENSITY
Nexconec NGX chassis are mounted in 19-inch racks and cabinets. The installation of the
NGX chassis is simple and fast. Loaded with modules, the NGX chassis offers ultra high-
density connectivity and unprecedented modularity without contest. NGX chassis offer
unique management features and easy access to each optical port. The modules can be
loaded from the front or rear of the chassis.
The front door of the NGX opens at 90° and is removable without any tool. It allows you
to identify each optical port for clear identification. It allows the user to clearly identify
each optical port.
The chassis also features side fingers for enhanced cable management. The rear
management is designed to cover the NGX chassis to give efficient access to each module
as well as a great flexibility to secure incoming cables. NGX chassis are available in 1, 2
and 4U offering 144, 288 and 576 FO in LC. NGX chassis are available in 1U, 2U and 4U

UNIQUE FEATURES
With increasingly high-powered active devices being used in todays networking and tele-
communication platforms, eye safety and connector cleanliness are an absolute necessity.
Nexconec’s dustproof LC adapter with Internal shutter has been designed to meet this
growing need.
The unique NGX module locking system is designed as a tab for users to push/pull modules
into the chassis and lock the module in the chassis with no additional tool.
Therefore, the modules are easy to access during and after deployment. Each module has
its own locking system to have individual access without disrupting other modules that are
already in service.

NGX MTP / MPO modules are the interface between MTP / MPO trunks and optical
patchcords. NGX modules are available in 24FO LC or 12FO SC featuring different polarity
configurations. The modules are manufactured with Premium low loss connectors for
enhanced optical performance thereby allowing multiple connections while respecting
the optical link loss budget.
The LC adaptors have unique shutters to provide dust proof module and eye protection
against high power laser. The adapters also help to identify ports by using a Visual Fault
Locater.
The modules are available in different configurations:

NGX patch modules provides additional flexibility to the infrastructure without
compromising chassis density.
The modules are available in 24FO LC, 12FO SC or 6 MPO duplex ports. Patch NGX
modules provides direct connections while saving on product cost and enhancing optical
budget link loss.

NGX Splicing Modules provides additional flexibility to the infrastructure without
compromising chassis density. The modules are available in 24FO LC or 12FO SC. The
splice NGX modules are delivered splice ready for installation with adaptors, premium
pigtails, and accessories (cable entry gland, splice protectors and cable clamp module).
The cable clamping accessory is designed to clamp 3mm and 5mm tubes. Different
splicing bridge options are available: single fiber splicing, ribbon fiber splicing and
mechanical splicing.

With 144FO in 1U, the density is extremely high! Access to the optical ports
could therefore be compromised and the front of the chassis saturated by
the number of cables. The Nexconec HD patchcord addresses all these
problems: thanks to the uniboot and round duplex 2mm diameter cable,
the cable density is reduced by 50%.
The HD patchcords are designed with a push/pull tab to have easy access
to each ports and connectors. The HD patchcords also features polarity
change function.
