With more than 50 scientists, engineers and technicians, and our
Thomasville (North Carolina, USA) Science & Technology centre,
Ennis-Flint supports major innovation initiatives around the
globe. These include extensive customer application simulation
testing, design of experiment testing, prototyping, as well as
analysis and engineering of paints, thermoplastics and MMA.
Some of our inhouse capabilities include microscopy, dry time
testing, accelerated ageing rooms and an airfield simulation
area. This enables a variety of coating trials to accelerate the
product development process—all of which contributes to our

Ennis-Flint is a quality systems focused organisation and operates an Integrated
Business Management System which is certified to international standards by
SAI Global as compliant to ISO9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO14001:2015

Our technical expertise is backed by NATA who have accredited Ennis-Flint following
demonstration of our technical competence to operate our paint, thermoplastic and
glass bead testing laboratories in accordance with ISO17025:2005 (Laboratory
Competence and Management). These systems function to ensure Ennis-Flint is
consistently able to provide products and services that meet customer, statutory
and regulatory requirements.
Australian Paint Approval Scheme (APAS)
Along with its APAS-accredited manufacturing facilities, Ennis-Flint also has APAS
approved products. The APAS seal confirms that regular and stringent testing is
undertaken to ensure these products consistently maintain the standard.
The Roadmarking Industry in Australia and New Zealand

Ennis-Flint manufacture a full line of traffic paints in both waterborne
and solvent-based formulations, engineered to meet your specification.
Formulated for streets and motorways to parking lots, waterborne
traffic paints are suitable for asphalt, chipseal and concrete substrates.
These can be sprayed with airless or conventional spray equipment.
Solvent-based traffic paints are co-polymer based and are ideal for
colder ambient conditions where waterborne may not be deployed.

Markings
Ennis-Flint offers several product technologies, in a variety of colours, to promote clear under-
standing of a dedicated-lane’s purpose to shared-roadway users as well as decorative trafficscapes.
Unique in application and performance, these technologies are ideal for streetscape and lane
treatment projects where shared roadway safety and aesthetic appeal must work in conjunction.
› Preferential-lane colour treatments
These treatments increase the lane’s visibility, identify potential conflict areas and promote the
dedicated lane’s purpose to shared-roadway users (commonly cycleways, bus lanes and pedestrian
shared walkways).
Materials applied over large-area markings must be formulated to expand and contract with the
substrate and changing temperatures, otherwise they can crack or delaminate from the surface.

Airfields
