What’s The Deal?
It’s pretty evident: cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology on which it is
based are taking the world by storm...and governments don’t know what to do.
Ban it and annoy your population? Try to get it under some kind of control with
regulations? Or keep everyone in limbo with a “wait and see” approach and some
vague warnings?

Traditional banks have also been caught flat-footed. They are scrambling to keep
up and not lose customers to the more nimble fintech startups that are already

Apart from the financial sector, when it comes to blockchain, here at WAR FIELD
we are looking for the next big thing. And we are pretty sure we have found it:
online games.

In-game currencies in the form of coins, credits, virtual notes, and tokens are noth-
ing new. But usually they only work one way: a player uses real money to buy in-
game tokens and spends them in the game on digital items such as power-ups,
additional lives, equipment or enhancements, to shorten wait times etc.

Before blockchain and cryptocurrency, there was no practicable way to let players
withdraw in-game tokens from a game and, say, transfer them to another player
or into another game. If you don’t want to play anymore, power-ups and tokens
bought with real money are essentially wasted. Even if a company has more than
one game in its portfolio, there is usually no way to use in-game currency bought
for one game in another.

The Game
A “first-person shooter” is a type of three-dimensional shooter game featuring a
first-person point of view. Each player sees the action through the eyes of his or
her player-character. This type of game is to be distinguished from “third-person
shooter” in which a player can see (usually from behind) the character he or she
is controlling. The primary design element is combat, mainly involving firearms.

First-person shooters have a long and glorious history in the gaming industry.
Starting from the legendary Wolfenstein, Doom, and Quake series, they have
evolved into mega-hits like Half-Life, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, Battlefield, Halo,
and many others.

First-person shooters are purely games of skill. Their outcome depends on the
physical and mental skills of the player controlling his or her character, choosing
the right tactics and strategy, and interaction with other players in multiplayer
versions, and not on chance or randomness generated by a computer.

The WAR FIELD game is not a project or a concept. It’s already a fully-functional
alfa version online game with all the necessary features to provide quality game-
play. You can jump right into the action. No installation or configuration is re-
quired.

The Major Difference
Blockchain technology and a specialised gaming cryptocurrency bring our
first-person shooter game to a whole new level. WAR FIELD uses the cutting-edge
Unity gaming engine, enabling cross-platform gaming with no hassle. Ethere-
um blockchain-powered in-game economics give players not only the thrill of
action-packed first-person shooter combat, but the added excitement of real
stakes represented by an ERC20 tradeable cryptocurrency they can win for skil-
ful play. Each player is required to stake a certain amount of GLDR on his or her
“life”. Whoever “kills” or “injures” him or her in the game can win that GLDR, ac-
cording to the rules of the game.

Unlike the so-called “freemium” business model, which allows players to play
only a slow or limited version of a game for free, while a full version can be un-
locked only as a result of in-game purchases, WAR FIELD offers a fully-functional,
full-featured alfa version to all players, as well as free tokens during the TSE for
every new player to try the game.

Blockchain technology guarantees a transparent and finite supply of GLDR to-
kens. Only a maximum of 2,574 billion GLDR will be created, 70 percent of which
will be available for purchase by the public at heavily discounted rates (up to
60% off) during the WAR FIELD Token Sale Event (TSE).

The purpose of the TSE is to raise funds for further development and marketing of
the WAR FIELD game and the GLDR platform as well as new games that will later
be added to the platform. During the TSE, GLDR can only be used in-game. But
once the TSE has ended, GLDR will be unlocked and tradeable directly between
players or on token exchanges. Unsold GLDR will also be available on the WAR
FIELD Marketplace at an exchange rate of no less than USD 0.01:1 GLDR.

billion gamers play video games worldwide. And the market continues to grow by
10–12% per year.

Twenty-eight percent (28%) of all video games are played on desktop platforms,
which comprise a $32.3 billion market share. And the browser PC gaming seg-
ment is the fastest-growing (9.4% in 2017).

Conservative estimates of overall annual market growth are 8.2% and are estimat-
ed to reach $143.5 billion by 2020.

We strongly believe that the introduction of a gaming cryptocurrency will acceler-

The Business Model
The WAR FIELD business model is built like no other gaming business model. It
combines the best of classical game economics with the advantages of the new
world of cryptocurrency.

The WAR FIELD game is built around the GLDR, which is the basic element of
WAR FIELD economics. GLDR is both an ERC20-compatible cryptographic token
that runs on the Ethereum blockchain and an in-game digital currency that can
be used to purchase digital goods for use within the game.

The GLDR token is a payment (utility) token that has no speculative value and
cannot be classified as a security as it will not generate passive income for the
bearer.

However, due to the transparent and open nature of the Ethereum blockchain,
it will be tradeable without any control on the game developers’ side. There-
fore, once unlocked, GLDR tokens can be exchanged freely among holders of
ERC20-compliant wallets around the globe.

The WAR FIELD game does not require any user authentication other than a cho-
sen username and password, both to ensure player anonymity and to comply with
personal data protection rules in various jurisdictions. Popular social networking
profiles can be used to login, as well. “Know Your Customer” procedures will be
obligatory for large purchases and withdrawals.

In the game environment, GLDR can be used for the following:

     ●● To purchase in-game digital goods like ammunition, weapons,
     armor, and other items

     ●● To purchase styling or enhancement items for one's character

     ●● As a participation/entry fee for special in-game events including

GLDR are transferred between players of the game in accordance with the rules

Players can keep their GLDR tokens either in the account of the game, or, once the
TSE has ended, withdraw them to their own Ether wallet for storage or exchange.

FINITE TOKEN Supply
The supply of GLDR will be limited and finite in order to protect their value. GLDR
will be the only means of payment within the game. After the TSE, a portion of
GLDR earned by WAR FIELD for in-game purchases may be returned to the WAR
FIELD Marketplace for sale to players at a rate no less than USD 0.01:1 GLDR.

Since GLDR are divisible, the minimum stake required to start can be adjusted so
new players can join and enjoy the action, possible GLDR appreciation notwith-
standing.

Game development and server infrastructure, marketing, management, and oth-
er expenses shall be covered using proceeds from the sale of GLDR as well as in-
game sales.

Fully-FUNCTIONAL GAME
A fully-functional alfa version of the WAR FIELD game was created in 2017–2018
by a team of experienced developers, designers, and game engineers. Its devel-
opment was funded by the company’s own capital and the investments of a few
angel investors. The game can be found and played at:

The WAR FIELD game is available to try for free. No installation is required. It is
a great way to explore the vibrant gameplay environment and to find out how
engaging gameplay for crypto can be. During the TSE, every new player gets 100
GLDR free to try the game.

WAR FIELD’s core was developed using the versatile Unity Game Engine, which
makes it ideal for multi-platform use. This stable and scalable server platform en-
sures the necessary server capacity to meet the needs of a global community of
players.

Currently, the game is available as a browser version only. No installation is need-
ed and everything works in the Chrome browser.

The minimum requirements are as follow:

     ●● 4 GB of RAM

     ●● 250 MB of free disk space

     ●● 512 MB video card

     ●● Chrome browser updated to newest version

During later stages of development, more platforms will be added, with iOS and

Gameplay and In-Game Economics
The WAR FIELD game will eventually consist of a number of different battle en-
vironments – so-called “Battlegrounds”. New Battlegrounds will be developed
during the course of the TSE and beyond (see the Roadmap for details).

Players can play deathmatch games in various configurations:

      ●● BOCO (Bellum omnium contra omnes), i.e., war of “all against all”

      ●● Team vs. team (to be developed)

      ●● Various competitions and tournaments to be developed

Players can start playing with as little as 1 GLDR. Every player is provided with a set of free
weapons and ammunition at the start of each game. (S)he can upgrade and resupply for
GLDR at the WAR FIELD Marketplace. Useful items for sale will include protective armour,
medical kits, apparel, and advanced weaponry. You do not lose any items you have bought
if you “die” in the game. They are yours for as long as your account is active.

Every player is required to choose an amount of GLDR tokens to stake on his or her life. This
amount represents an initial “Life Cost”. When “injured” in gameplay, a player loses (surren-
ders) a certain amount of the GLDR (s)he has staked. A player gains GLDR from another
player by “injuring” or “killing” that player. Every “hit” from a bullet or other weapon causes
“injury” to a player's character and a certain amount of GLDR is transferred to the player
who has caused the “injury”. If the balance of GLDR a player has staked as his or her or “Life
Cost” reaches zero, the player’s character “dies”. In the event of “death”, gear that a player
has purchased is not forfeited. It remains with the player and can be used for new “Lives”.

The amount of GLDR a player may lose as a result of each “injury” or “death” depends on
a number of factors including type of weapon used, distance of the shot, body part which
has suffered the “injury”, etc. Additional armour and other protective gear (available for
purchase in-game) can reduce the amount of “injury” an attack causes. At the same time,
the use of special ammunition, aiming devices, and explosives may increase the damage
caused by a weapon. For example, a limb hit by a bullet from a pistol will cause damage
equal to 10 percent of one's Life Cost. A headshot with a sniper rifle from a medium dis-
tance will cause damage equal to 80 percent of one’s Life Cost.

Transparent Accounting

Once in the private wallets of players (feature available after the TSE has ended),
GLDR can be handled like any ERC20 tokens. Once transferred to the game, GLDR
are managed by the Golder Platform which makes in-game transactions instant
and cheap. This ensures the transparency, accuracy, and speed of the in-game
economy.

All in-game transactions will be handled by a tamper-proof internal database that
will ensure security, transparency, and data integrity. Transactions shall be record-
ed on the game’s internal blockchain, which does not require mining and, conse-
quently, is much faster and offers transaction costs close to zero.

Once the TSE has ended, players will be able to withdraw up to their full balance of
GLDR to their personal ether wallets at any time. The minimum amount of GLDR
available for withdrawal will be 1,000. Withdrawal will be subject to an administra-
tive fee of 2 percent of the withdrawn amount.

The Road to Victory
The WAR FIELD game is designed so that everyone can enjoy quality gameplay.

At the start, players are offered a training course on a training field where they can
get accustomed to the controls, environment, and in-game physics. Then, a new
player is advised to choose “Rookie” levels where stakes are low and opponents are
not too strong. These levels will offer light weapons and lots of space with plenty of
places to hide. We wouldn’t want pros to kill new players during their first match.

To avoid one player’s excess advantage over others, players are assigned to Battle-
grounds according to their level of skill, weapons, and other hardware. This allows
for a balance between players and prevents experienced players from dispropor-
tionately dominating new ones.

The most experienced and advanced players will be invited to special events with
high stakes and special prizes.

GLDR: Gaming’s Future Gold Standard
Not only will WAR FIELD be the world's first first-person shooter game to use real
cryptocurrency to fuel its economy, the ERC20-compliant GLDR is designed to be
a gaming cryptocurrency that can be used to power the internal economies of
other games.

Our plans include the development of a proprietary API that could be offered to
other game developers along with the possibility of using GLDR as their in-game
currency.

Token Sale Event Details
GOLDER (GLDR) will be offered to the public during the Token Sale Event (TSE).
During the TSE (also known as “Initial Coin Offering” or “ICO”), GLDR will be offered
at significantly discounted rates (of up to 60% off their regular price of USD 0.01:1
GLDR) and will be immediately available for use in the game. Withdrawal of GLDR
to external wallets will be restricted until the end of the TSE.

The overall supply of GLDR will depend on the amount of GLDR sold during the
TSE, which will constitute 70% of the total supply. That is, for every 7 GLDR sold,
we will generate 3 additional GLDR for bounty, referral, advisors, and founders
(details below). In any event, the maximum suplly will be 2,571,428,571 GLDR
(a maximum of 1.8 billion of which shall be available to the public for purchase
during the TSE).

The minimum amount to be raised (i.e., the “Soft Cap” of the TSE) is equivalent
to USD 3 million. This is the minimum required to continue development of the
WAR FIELD game and the Golder Platform.

The maximum amount of funds to be raised (i.e., the “Hard Cap” of the TSE) is
equivalent to USD 12 million. This will suffice to achieve all of the major goals of
the project and reach the critical mass of players required to achieve the so-
called “Snowball Effect”.

The TSE will start June 28 and continue for four and half months or until the
Hard Cap is reached, whichever comes first.

Every WAR FIELD player will have access to an Account Page, where the amount
of GLDR owned and kept by the player in the game will be displayed. GLDR can be
spent in the WAR FIELD Marketplace for in-game digital goods or staked as “Life
Cost” on a Battleground.

Players will be advised to provide their ether wallet number. It will be used to
transfer GLDR to the wallet after the TSE has ended, if so desired.

Anyone who has GLDR can transfer them to any ERC20-compliant wallet and
dispose of them as they see fit once the TSE has ended and they have been un-
locked. As ERC20 tokens, GLDR are fully tradeable and, once unlocked at the end
of the TSE, can be sold on exchanges as well as peer-to-peer. GLDR may be avail-
able from WAR FIELD in the WAR FIELD Marketplace, but only from the existing
supply and at a price that is not lower than USD 0.01 per 1 GLDR.

TSE Smart Contract
Smart contracts are key to next-generation blockchain platforms. The main goal
of a smart contract is to enable two parties to agree on and execute internet trans-
actions without the need for an intermediary or independent verification. Smart
contracts guarantee token holder anonymity and safety, as well.

The WAR FIELD TSE will feature a smart contract that allows participants to ac-
quire GLDR simply by sending ether to the specified address. GLDR will appear in
the player’s ether wallet almost instantly. They will be locked until the end of the
TSE, after which they will be fully tradeable. Until then, players can only use them
in-game.

No Gambling

WAR FIELD is a game of skill with no element of chance. The only part that in-
volves some randomness is the location of the spawning of the player when en-
tering a game or respawning after death. This is necessary to ensure that no one
gets killed instantly after spawning by an awaiting competitor.

The outcome of the game is determined solely by the skill of the player, including
the physical ability to control the character and the mental ability to choose effec-
tive game tactics and strategy.

Therefore, WAR FIELD cannot be classified as a game of chance and no licensing
or registration of players is required in any jurisdiction, unless stated otherwise in
the laws of the respective country. No such country or territory is known to the
authors of the game at the time of publication of this White Paper.

Taxation on Withdrawal
As the game economy is based on an internal GLDR token which has no other
monetary value outside the game, no taxes are applicable to holders of GLDR to-
kens.

However, if a holder of a GLDR token chooses to sell his or her tokens for fiat or
digital currency, he/she may be subjected to taxation, depending on jurisdiction
of residence. WAR FIELD creators bear no responsibility for any taxation issues
arising from surrendering of GLDR tokens on a secondary market.

Policies
The game design uses proprietary algorithms to put players onto Battlegrounds
in such a way that the true identity of players against whom one is playing are not
revealed. This is required to prevent staged games.

Every game is recorded and monitored. Our system automatically flags unau-
thorised alterations and actions for review. We will also review any complaints
we receive. If we determine that cheating has occurred, the responsible player or
players will lose their GLDR and be banned. Any winnings received on that basis
will be refunded from the responsible player or players’ account.

Following internationally-recognised anti-money-laundering and fraud preven-
tion policies, players wanting to purchase amounts of GLDR tokens in excess of
500,000 (equivalent to USD 5,000) shall be required to pass a KYC (“know-your-cus-
tomer”) procedure.

Following both European and the international regulations, all wire transfers of
fiat currency exceeding EUR 15,000 may be subject to reporting to authorities
responsible for the supervision of anti-money-laundering regulations. These rules
may vary depending on the geography of the player.
