CROATIA WINTER MUSIC FESTIVAL
Nella vicina Croazia ci prendono sempre più gu-
sto: eventi dance tutta l’estate, Defected che ha
già confermato di tornarci l’anno prossimo do-
po aver abbandonato – anche se non del tutto
– Ibiza e adesso persino un festival invernale:
il Croatia Winter Music Festival all’Arena di Za-
gabria, dal 31 dicembre al 6 gennaio. 31 di-
cembre con Armin van Buuren, Flower Power il
1 gennaio e nei giorni successivi Sick Indivi-
duals, Kura e Thomas Newson.
AWAKENINGS
Sold out annunciato per la tre giorni di Awake-
nings, in calendario al Gashouder di Amsterdam
dal 30 dicembre al 1 gennaio. Richie Hawtin, Jo-
seph Capriati, Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Chris Lie-
bing e Len Faki alcuni dei nomi in cartellone,
pronti ad esibirsi in una struttura industriale sor-
ta nel 1902 e da diversi anni ormai convertita
ad arena per eventi. E sempre in tema di Awa-
kenings, già fissato un ulteriore appuntamento:
sabato 28 gennaio a Eindhoven.
EUROSONIC NOORDERSLAG
Oltre 350 performance in rappresentanza di ol-
tre 30 nazioni: multietnico e multiculturale,
dall’11 al 14 gennaio Eurosonic porta a Gronin-
gen, Paesi Bassi, ogni tipo di genere musicale,
non soltanto l’elettronica. Negli anni è diventato
un appuntamento irrinunciabile per tantissimi
promoter, uno showcase per provare a capire
quali possano essere le nuove tendenze in tema
di festival, promozioni, comunicazione.
GIORNI E NOTTI BERLINESI
Berlino è un’altra delle tante metropoli mondiali
che non dorme mai. Sarà così in particolare Awakenings
dall’8 al 10 dicembre, grazie a Heroines of Sound,
il primo festival tutto al femminile, con concerti,
dj set, installazioni, conferenze, spettacoli di ar-
te varia. In cartellone nomi che forse dicono po-
co al grande pubblico quali Beatriz Ferreyra, The Warehouse Project
Christine Groult, Cathy Berberian e JD Zazie, ma
che sono davvero interessanti e sorprendenti.
Sempre a Berlino, il 31 dicembre si festeggia con
Hyte, il party ibizenco di Loco Dice, affiancato
nella circostanza da Carl Cox, Cuartero, Seth
Troxler, Monika Kruse, Richie Hawtin, i nostri Lol-
lino e Fabio Fiorito.
OLTREMANICA
Non è mai una cattiva idea trascorrere le festi-
vità di fine anno in Gran Bretagna: i party non
mancano. Basti pensare al Capodanno del Mi-
nistry of Sound con i dj Defected, ovvero Ten-
snake, Sonny Fodera, Simon Dunmore, Coyright.
Il 1 gennaio invece ci si può dirigere al Banksi-
de Vaults con Mosaic: Maceo Plex, Modeselector
e Dj Tennis a scaldare il dancefloor. Più a nord
di Londra, a Manchester, con Warehouse si fa fe-
sta dal 30 dicembre al 1 gennaio compreso. Si
parte con Carl Cox & Friends e si prosegue con
Hanna Wants, Derrick Carter, Hot Chip, Kink, Bi-
cep e tantissimi altri ancora.
