2WELCOME
The University of Reading is a truly international
institution, with established links to education providers
and businesses around the world and with a vibrant global
student and alumni network. We are very proud of our
excellent record of educating talented students who go on
to make a significant contribution in their chosen careers.
The establishment of our first overseas campus in Malaysia
is a flagship project for the University of Reading. It signifies
an important milestone in our ongoing expansion and is a natural
extension of the particularly close ties that we have enjoyed in
Malaysia over many years.
I am delighted to be able to take the University of Reading experience
to a global audience. I expect our world-class strengths in research
and teaching to make a lasting impact in this dynamic and exciting
region, equipping the next generation to rise to the challenges of
an increasingly globalised economy.
Sir David Bell
Vice-Chancellor
Message from the Provost
The University of Reading has been successfully
educating international students for more than a century.
Malaysian graduates of the University are already leading
businesses and professions and contributing to public life,
all over the world – not least here in Malaysia.
Now students will be able to have the best of both worlds – the chance
to study for a UK degree but in dynamic Malaysia. Whether studying
one of Reading’s traditional strengths or with the world-class Henley
Business School, students can expect a rigorous and challenging
education in a friendly, supportive and internationally diverse
environment, taught by the best academics in their field.
Here is where future leaders will thrive.
Asia is the continent for the 21st century and the most exciting region
in the world. We’re proud to be part of it and are ready to welcome
students to our new home.
