The S5 classification is the most demanding category in terms of safety require-
ments for safety boots. Only boots classified S5 must be fitted with a protective cap,

SRA-CERTIFIED ANTI-SLIP OUTSOLE:
SRA-classified boots are tested and certified for their anti-slip properties on ceramic
tiles covered with a soap solution. The tests measure the coefficients of sliding fric-
tion when the heel only and when the whole foot slides forward. The results provide
a good representation of the actual anti-slip performance of the boots on slippery tile
floors in practice.
PROTECTIVE CAP AND MIDSOLE:
The boots feature a protective cap and midsole to provide maximum protection
against falling or protruding parts.
The integrated toe cap, tested and certified according to standard EN ISO 20345:2011,
protects the toes from an impact of 200 J energy and a compression of 15 kN. The
midsole is integrated into the sole and prevents penetration up to 1100 N. Dunlop
boots with protective toe cap and protective midsole are known as “Full Safety”
boots.
COMFORT:
The boots have been designed to offer a perfect fit and optimum wearing comfort for
daily use.
WATER–TIGHTNESS:
The boots are one hundred percent waterproof and keep your feet dry in wet and
dirty environments.
OIL-RESISTANT OUTSOLE:
The outsole is resistant to oil, which means that
potentially harmful effects of oily substances on the safety properties of the boots are
minimised.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE:
The boots offer protection against many different chemicals.
The choice of boot is determined by their specific application and the associated
chemicals and environmental conditions typically encountered.
SHOCK ABSORPTION:
The boots have shock absorption in the heel region, which reduces the impact during
walking.
