Call for Speakers
Welcome to PRXNE16!
Are you a dynamic presenter with something important to share with an audience of public
relations, corporate communications, digital media and CSR professionals?
Our Audience:
On Monday June 13, 2016, some 300 communicators including PR faculty and students will assemble at
the campus of UMass Boston for a power-packed day of innovation, collaboration, networking and
learning. They will represent Fortune and emerging companies, growth industries like energy and life
sciences, higher education, nonprofits, cause-driven organizations and stalwart consumer brands. Their
common denominator: they are connected across eight Northeast chapters of the Public Relations Society
of America, the world’s largest organization for multi-disciplined public relations profession in today’s digital
age.
Speaker Opportunity:
Organizers of PRXNE16 are inviting presenters’ proposals that speak to current headlines, offer content
that is actionable and otherwise highly relevant to this fast-changing profession. Ours is an audience of
connectors, advocates, reputation builders and brand champions. Attendees will range from executive-
ranked officers to mid-level managers to early careerists and academic faculty. Our audience will also
include the CEO of PRSA National and other executive staff who are scouting talented presenters for
PRSA’s 2017 International Conference, slated to bring 3,000 attendees back to Boston. Speakers should
be experienced, (not reliant upon text-heavy slides) in order to engage and interact with an audience of
communications and presentation professionals. Our spacious venue offers state-of-art technology with
WiFi and wireless microphones. We will promote speakers and their expertise via a pre- and post-
publicity, regional newsletters, program announcements and social media. The conference is not focused
on any particular industry domain, rather this will be a forum at which public relations practitioners from
diverse sectors and employer settings will meet and learn.
Submission Deadline + Details:
For consideration, please complete the Speaker Submission Form completely and submit it electronically
on or before February 22, 2016. Submissions become the property of PRSA Northeast, names of
submitters will be kept confidential.
All submissions will be acknowledged by email. Selected speakers will be contacted on or before March
15, 2016. Speakers not selected may still be invited by PRSA Chapters as blog or essay contributors or
expert speakers.
PRSA Northeast is a 501c6 membership organization consortium. We advance the public
relations profession through learning and skills development programs as well as engagement
opportunities with employers and leaders.
Submit your proposals using the presentation template included at the end of this document. All proposals
should be emailed to PRXNE16@prsaboston.org and include the subject line: PRXNE Speaker Proposal.

Submissions can also be made online at http://www.prsanortheast.org/ne-conference/boston-2016/.

is final. Submissions must be received by the stated deadline.
