WELCOME
It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the Queensland Touch Football 2020 QLD State
                        Cup.

QLD State Cup has quickly become a “must do” event on the Touch Football calendar
and provides an opportunity for our touch community to come together and celebrate
friendships, rivalries and the year that was. In 2020, this that means a Covid-safe
event with every necessary precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all
                        involved.

QLD State Cup is an annual 3-day Touch Football tournament that brings more than
1,500 players, referees and officials and Affiliates from across Queensland who will
showcase the game of touch football. Affiliate teams from Brisbane, South West
Queensland, South Queensland, Central Queensland, Sunshine Coast, as well as a
number of teams from North Queensland. I thank them for their ongoing support and
                        commitment to the event.

This year we also celebrate the inaugural Queensland Touch Football ‘Festival of Touch’,
5 events across 10 days on the picturesque Gold Coast thanks to the support of City of
Gold Coast. So welcome aboard for a fun, enjoyable and unforgettable experience!

The following principles have guided the planning and delivery of the QLD State Cup
                        • Provide a safe and enjoyable participation experience for everyone involved
                        • Provide an occasion for all Queensland Affiliates to come together to celebrate the
                        sport of touch, and
                        • Provide an opportunity to identify talent for further representative opportunities
