RESPECT LIFE MONTH 2021 RESOURCES
Theme: “St. Joseph, defender of life, pray for us!”
Each October, the Church in the United States observes Respect Life Month as a time to consider more deeply
why every human life is valuable and reflect on how to build a culture that protects life from conception to
natural death. The Pro Life Secretariat of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has a comprehensive selection
of print and graphics in both English and Spanish which can be found at:

For your convenience in highlighting different aspects of respect for life throughout the month in parish
Prayers of the Faitful and bulletiins, attached are the October USCCB Word of Life publications in English and
Spanish. Thank you for your ongoing efforts to respesct, protect and enhance the dignity of human life at all

to protect the gift of every human life;

May God grant us the wisdom and courage in Ordinary Time
to lovingly protect His gift of human life
at every stage, in sickness and in health;

October 17th Twenty-ninth Sunday
That the life of every person, in Ordinary Time
from conception to natural death,
will be protected in our laws
and cherished in our hearts;

For women and men suffering after abortion: in Ordinary Time
May the Church’s abortion healing ministry,
