exciting. So knowing you’ve got a decent place to live is a major
box ticked. When you choose to study at the University of Hull,
you have a wide range of living options.
On campus or off campus. Catered or self-catered. Really affordable or really impressive. In the
thick of it, or somewhere quiet and out of the way. Whatever you choose, our accommodation
team are on hand to help you find the place that suits you best.
Of course, it’s helpful to actually see the different types of accommodation before you make a
decision. So if you haven’t already been to one of our applicant days or open days, come along
and we’ll be happy to show you around some of our residences. Just go to www.hull.ac.uk to find
out when our next events are on.
In the meantime, you can check out what’s available in this guide, and if you have any questions

AT HOME IN HULL | 5More life.
More time.
More facilities.
More friends. More options. More fun.
To experience university life fully, nothing beats living on campus where you can enjoy
convenience and a sense of community. Our on-campus accommodation sits at the
heart of university life and is just a short walk from teaching rooms, labs, our library,
sports facilities, students’ union and a fantastic range of eateries, allowing you to
make the most of your study and leisure time.
Whatever subject you or your friends are studying, your lives will
revolve around our single-site campus, which just keeps getting
better thanks to our continuous programme of investment.
Even though our campus has the laid-back atmosphere of a leafy,
secluded site, it’s actually located in a vibrant, student-orientated
area – only two miles from the city centre. That brings an extra
dimension to your student life as you explore everything Hull has
to offer.
It’s easy to feel at home here, and it tends to happen quickly.
Why the campus feels like
home to Georgia
“The campus brings a really inclusive

After your first year
University accommodation isn’t just for first years. You can apply
to live in our accommodation the following year, or for the full
duration of your studies.
You can apply to live with a group of friends in our houses, flats and halls, and continue to enjoy all
the benefits that living in University accommodation brings: location, community and quality living.
Affordable
Don’t be fooled into thinking the private sector is cheaper. Once you add on utility bills, internet
services, contents insurance and the extra weeks rent that come with longer contracts, things really
start to add up.
Live with friends
There are loads of options available for friends wanting to live together, from new on-campus flats, to
student houses and halls of residence. You’ll each have an individual tenancy and we won’t hold you
jointly liable if one of your friends doesn’t pay or decides to leave.
No nasty surprises
We never charge an admin fee and there are no scary credit checks.
Once you’ve settled in, gotten to know your housemates and people on your course, and know
where you’d like to live and who with, we’ll be happy to chat with you about your options.
