The Advanced Training Workshop
on Root Coverage is an interactive
course, powered by focused hands-
on training, video demonstrations
and 3D live surgery. It aims at
clinicians wishing to upgrade their
skills in the application of
mucogingival surgery. The course
consists of an integrated approach
designed to build and extend the skills of the practicing
periodontist in the area of contemporary mucogingival
surgery and microsurgery with special focus on root
coverage at single and multiple sites. The material will be
covered with lectures, practical exercises on simulators,
case discussions, treatment planning exercises and 3D live
video demonstrations.
This intensive 3 days course focuses on 3 main objectives:
1. the acquisition of state of the art knowledge and
competence
2. the acquisition of the practical skills and
3. the ability to apply them to the solution of practical
clinical cases.

coverage: the key factors 5. Scientific evidence of root coverage
procedures
Root Coverage Procedures for single and multiple
recessions
1. The Coronally Advanced Flap 2. The Free Gingival Graft 3.
Bilaminar techniques with connective tissue graft 4. Bilaminar
techniques with Synthetic materials and Allografts 5.
Reconstruction of the CEJ for root coverage 6. Coverage of the
reconstructed cervical area 7. Post-operative care following
periodontal plastic surgery 8. Treatment Strategy

Application of biomaterials. 2. Discussion and conclusion

Exercises will be performed
on specifically designed
silicone models with step by
step supervision by the
speakers. All instruments and
materials will be provided

with them).
