Enrichment at Sancton Wood School
Education is about more than what happens in the classroom.
A well-rounded academic provision must also include a wide variety
of extracurricular opportunities and we deliver this in style.
Students are offered opportunities to explore and discover in a wide
range of activities across STEM, Sport, The Arts, Humanities, Culture,
and Debate and Discussion, as well as wider advanced qualification
opportunities which come together to form a really exciting and inspiring
programme that we are really proud of.
The breadth and diversity of this programme will give students access
enrichment
to a whole host of new experiences, help them to develop a range of
interests and skills and build a sense of confidence that will support
them in the classroom and beyond. This is an important part of the
standard of education we strive to deliver.
Our careers programme provides great preparation for future
successful careers. Alongside opportunities from our partner InvestIN
who deliver immersive career experiences, Year 10 students will have
access to a wide range of visiting speakers, all of whom will talk about
their area of work, ranging from engineering to entrepreneurship;
fashion to filmmaking.
Our activities help pupils to develop ‘intellectual curiosity’ and enable
a ‘community of fun and energy’ – these are core values at the school
and we encourage all of our children to take full advantage of the
opportunities available – there’s something for everyone.
