SCHOOL HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDE
2021-2022
Dear Parents,
The safety and well being of our entire community is at the forefront
of our plans for onsite learning. The purpose of this document is to
share everything you need to know for a safe return to school from
September 2021.
Our objectives are to:
● Protect the health and safety of students, staff and parents
● Follow the guidelines issued by the Italian Ministries of Health
and Education
● Provide clear expectations for all members of our community
during this emergency learning environment
The school will continuously monitor and adapt health and safety
procedures according to the latest guidelines issued by the
competent national and international health authorities.

SUMMARY OF PROTOCOLS
● Families are required to complete the self-declaration form – in English or
Italian - before their child returns to school
● All persons entering the premises will have their temperature taken
● Personal protective equipment such as face masks should be worn at all
times on entering the building and must be worn when moving around the
school. Social distancing must be respected at all times.
● Hand sanitizer stations together with disinfection mats must be used when
entering or exiting common areas
● With the exception of parents of Early Years students (only one parent will
be allowed into the premises), parents are strictly not allowed to enter the
building unless they have made a prior appointment. Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter which is fundamental to the wellbeing of the whole
community
● Vehicle access to the campus is only allowed for drop-off / pick-up purposes
or for appointments previously agreed with the administration, whether these
meetings are with teachers or other members of staff
● The indications shown in common areas must be respected
● The elevators must only be used if it is a necessity and only one person at a
time
● There will be a staggered start (and end) to the school day, which will allow
all students to enter/exit the building in accordance with our safety protocols.
Please respect the timings
● Air conditioning system and filters have been completely upgraded to comply
with anti Covid-19 regulations
● Cleaning procedures of all surfaces and common areas have been increased
and will be above the minimum government requirements
● Signage has been placed throughout the school to reinforce essential
hygiene practice and teachers will ensure regular hand-washing during the
school day.
2H OW WILL YOU PROTECT THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF
STUDENTS , STAFF AND PARENTS ?
ANY MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF
RESPIRATORY INFECTION AND FEVER OVER 37.5°C, OR ASYMPTOMATIC
WORKERS / PEOPLE WHO REPORT THAT THEY HAVE HAD CLOSE
CONTACT* WITH A CASE OF COVID-19 WITHIN THE LAST 14 DAYS
(DPCM 8 MARCH 2020) WILL BE NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE
SCHOOL.
Any member of the community who is onsite and who shows fever and flu-
like symptoms as described in the previous point, will be asked to leave
the school. All such cases will be promptly and confidentially reported to the
school management to facilitate ulterior preventative measures or
sanitisation requirements.
The school will continue to promote awareness of correct hygiene and hand
sanitisers will be made available in strategic points throughout the school.
Signs and notices will be posted regarding the principle rules of good
hygiene.
Parent and/or visitor access to the campus will be restricted and upon
prior appointment only. Entry/exit procedures for Year 1 to Year 13
classes will follow a pick-up and drop-off schedule to maintain social
distancing.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE START OF THE YEAR ?
Rome International School has completed its summer cleaning and will be
deep cleaned again in late August. Staff will receive specific training on
the protocols we must implement and be responsible for their class.
Preparation work is on-going throughout the summer.
Students are due to come to the school on the following dates:
● 6th September (Early Years and Year 1, Years 10-13)
● 7th September (Years 2-6, Years 7-9)
HOW WILL THE SCHOOL DAY START ?
There will be a staggered start to the school day, which will allow all
students to enter the building safely and in accordance with our safety
protocols. The arrangements for this will be as follows:
8.25am – Middle and High School students will enter the building
through the Level 3 entrance. Students will go directly to their form room
where the daily register will be taken.
8.50am – Years 4, 5 and 6 students will enter the building through the
main Reception on Level 1 where they will be met by a member of staff..
9.00am – Years 1, 2 and 3 classes will enter the building through the
doors near the football tables on Level 1 where they will be welcomed
by our staff.
9.10am – Nursery, Kindergarten and Transition students will enter via
the garden gate on Level 1. Parents of Early Years students will be
allowed access to the Early Years garden via this gate.
We will inform you should there be any changes. If you have a sibling with a
different drop-off or pick-up time, we will be able to accommodate them in a
specific are where they will wait whilst respecting social distancing
5H OW WILL STUDENTS LEAVE SCHOOL AT THE END OF THE
DAY ?
As with our entry procedures, there will be a staggered end to the day, which
will allow all families to exit the building in the safest way possible.
The End of the School Day
15.15 Nu/Kg/Trans to be collected from the Early Years*
Year 1 & 2 to be collected outside level 1
15.30 Year 3 & 4 to be collected outside level 1
Years 5,6 to be collected from outside level 3
16.05 Middle and High School micro car, bus users and pedestrians
will leave from level 1. All students being collected by private
car will leave from level 3.
* Please note that only parents of Early Years children can use the parking
area on level 3 and enter the building to collect their child. This will also allow
parents of our youngest students to touch-base with their child’s teacher at the
end of the day.
NB: IB students in Year 12 and Year 13 will be allowed to leave school after
their last lesson.
Limited permanent passes will be issued at the beginning of the year.
WHEN WILL I MEET MY CHILD ’ S CLASS TEACHER ?
To enable a smooth transition back to school - for our youngest students to
our most senior students - virtual meetings will be held at the start of
September in order for families to meet their child’s teacher. Dates will be
communicated at the end of August.
Later in the year in-person, if possible and if compatible with existing
government guidelines, meetings between teachers and parents will be
organised.
Please note that in the Early Years, there will be an orientation period to
allow children to adapt gradually to school life. Early Years parents have
received this information as part of the Summer Letter.
6HOW WILL ACCESS TO THE CAMPUS WORK ?
To safeguard the health and safety of our entire school community, all
persons entering the premises will have their temperature taken at the gate.
They will enter the building respecting social distancing and will sanitise their
hands as they enter. Protective personal equipment, in particular face
masks, will be required.
● Any member of the community who shows symptoms of respiratory
infection and fever over 37.5°C or asymptomatic workers / people who
report that they have had close contact (as defined by the Italian Ministry
of Health’s 22 February 2020 memorandum) with a case of COVID-19
within the last 14 days (DPCM 8 March 2020) will be not be able to
access the school
● Bus users will also have their temperatures measured by the bus
assistant, before getting on board, and will be required to wear face
masks for the entire journey
● Disinfection mats as well as hand sanitisation points will also be placed
at all entrance points to the school
● With the exception of parents of Early Years students (only one parent
will be allowed into the premises), parents will NOT be able to enter
the building unless upon appointment
● Vehicle access to the campus will be allowed for drop-off / pick-up
purposes or for appointments previously agreed with the administration,
whether these meetings are with teachers or other members of staff
HOW WILL YOU ENSURE SOCIAL DISTANC ING ?
All spaces at Rome International School will be arranged in order to ensure
social distancing of not less than 1 metre between each individual, according
to the latest decree issued by the Italian government. Classrooms will have
desks/tables suitably separated with markings clearly outlined on the floor so
that cleaners will ensure that tables are replaced appropriately to
premeasured distances.
One-way systems will be in place in the corridors, and clear signage will be
evident around the school. Prior to each day, we will disinfect all spaces and
7surfaces, including learning resources and equipment. Hand santising
stations will continue to be present around the school in addition to
disinfection mats at key entrance/exit points.
Use of common areas:
● Students will access the three lunchrooms in shifts
● Physical Education:
o We will ensure players follow strict hygiene rules before and
after every game
o The school will disinfect all sports goods after every activity
● When moving around the school in common areas, masks are to be worn
by all members of the community
A IR CONDITIONING
The school has upgraded the ventilation system, with all filters being
changed to meet the required standards. Whenever possible windows will
be kept open to ensure that fresh air is entering the building, and when the
air conditioning is in use the air will not be recycled, but will enter and leave
the building without being reused.
H OW WILL THE CLASSROOMS BE SET UP ?
Fabrics and soft furnishings, as well as natural materials that cannot be
easily washed, will be removed. The amount of materials and resources in
classrooms will be reduced, and students will be involved in this process.
Every student in the Early Years and Elementary School will be given their
own ‘stationery kit’ that will be used only by him/her. The kit will remain at
school.
In the Middle and High School we have made some structural changes to
allow us to accommodate large classes when needed and also to create
smaller groups when space needs to be optimised (some walls have been
replaced with moveable partitions).
8H OW WILL YOU ENSURE THAT LESSONS ARE CARRIED OUT
SAFELY ?
All lessons will take place respecting social distancing of 1 metre, and
minimising movement around the school whenever possible. This can
mean, for example, that some specialist lessons will take place in the
homeroom classroom and not the ‘specialist’ room.
Moving around and using our outdoor spaces is a key part of our plan, so we
will maximise our use of the outdoor classroom and all outdoor spaces at
our disposal. We will also ensure the well being of our students through a
range of activities such as stretching and exercise sessions that can be done
on an individual basis. Sports and Music lessons will reflect the need for
social distancing and strict hygiene measures.
H OW WILL PLAYTIMES AND BREAKTIMES BE ORGANISED ?
During playtime Early Years and Elementary students will have an allocated
area in the playground where they will remain. We will, of course, provide a
healthy snack to help them through the day!
Our older students will be able to make use of the ample terrace space
including the terraces on levels 3 and 4.
H OW WILL YOU ENSURE THAT YOUR YOUNGEST LEARNERS
ADAPT TO SCHOOL LIFE ?
The school recognises that social distancing in the Nursery, Kindergarten
and Transition classes will be difficult to achieve and we want our youngest
students to feel secure within our school.
Early Years classrooms will not be subject to social distancing between
students, however classroom set up and routines will be planned carefully to
ensure the best possible standards of hygiene and safety. We want our
youngest learners to feel secure within our school, and to ensure this we will
adopt the following measures:
● Physical contact will be given that is appropriate to their needs, in
particular when they are receiving personal care, need comforting or
reassurance. This includes staff being able to hug and comfort
children, if required. It is important that children are sensitively
supported into their new setting.
9● We will minimise contact between groups of children. The aim of
small groups is to limit the number of close contacts for each child
and member of staff. Brief or transitory interactions such as passing
in corridors or crossing play spaces to access other spaces are
considered low risk.
● We will maximise use of outdoor spaces. Evidence suggests that
outdoor environments can limit transmission. We are at a great
advantage in that we have outdoor areas whereby the children can
explore and learn in a safe, natural environment.
H OW WILL THE STUDENTS EAT LUNC H ?
We are very fortunate in that we have three lunchrooms on our premises.
This will enable us to ensure that students are socially distanced whilst they
still benefit from our organic lunches. We have increased the time between
sittings so that we have more time for cleaning and disinfecting between
shifts.
The Middle and High School will follow a continuous day, with staggered
breaks and lunches for the Middle and High School, thereby reducing the
flow of students during peak times. We have extended the Middle and High
lunchtime over two 55-minute periods, doubling the amount of time that
students can take their lunch on a rota basis.

W HAT PROCEDURES WILL APPLY TO BUS USERS ?
We would like to assure our families that we are constantly monitoring the
latest guidelines issued by the competent authorities. School bus users will
be obliged to wear masks for the entire journey and will have their
temperature measured by the bus assistant before getting on board.

10W ILL THERE BE ANY AFTER - SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ?
Absolutely yes!
We will be running a wide range of extracurricular activities, including
courses which focus on areas such as physical activities, languages,
creativity and technology. Our programme of extracurricular activities will
accomodate our students safely.
Some after-school sports activities offered by the school’s partners such as
Accademia D'Armi Musumeci Greco 1878, Libertas Roma, and ASD
Poolstars Vollleyball courses are open to external students, who will undergo
a compulsory COVID-19 test to being activities.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A SUSPECTED COVID-19 CASE IN
SCHOOL?
● Following an initial evaluation by the school's doctor or first aid officer, the
school will arrange for the immediate isolation of a symptomatic
individual within the designated quarantine area until they leave the
school premises. The school will inform the local health authorities (ASL)
and carry out the necessary procedures established by the ASL.
● The individual will be required to immediately contact their family doctor,
paediatrician or the ‘guardia medica’ (out-of-hours primary care service) .
● Persons subject to quarantine by order of the health authority are prohibited
from moving from their home or residence and advice on how to avoid
exposure inside the household will be provided
● Parents should inform the school immediately by writing
to office@romeinternationalschool.it if their child, or someone in their
child's household:
▪ is diagnosed with, or develops symptoms of Covid-19
▪ travels to or has returned from a Covid-19 high-risk or restricted
region or country* in the last 14 days
▪ can be classified as being vulnerable to the effects of Covid-19

11WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A POSITIVE COVID-19 CASE IN
SCHOOL?
If an individual has been diagnosed with Covid-19 through testing, the local
health authorities will bring forward epidemiological investigation to search
for the source of infection and identify and test all close contacts.
The authorities will get in touch with the school to determine a list of all
close contacts who will then be included in a specific surveillance plan.
The school is obliged to follow all of the procedures issued by the local
health authority in the case of a confirmed case in school. Parents will be
immediately notified.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A POSITIVE COVID-19 CASE IN
SCHOOL
If your child is required to stay at home for a temporary period of time such
as for COVID-19 related quarantine, precautionary measures or illness,
he or she will be eligible to access online learning.

12GUIDA ALLA GESTIONE IN SICUREZZA ANNO SCOLASTICO 2021-2022
Cari Genitori,
La sicurezza ed il benessere di tutta la nostra comunità sono in prima
linea nei nostri piani per consentire le lezioni in sede.
Qui di seguito tutto ciò che bisogna sapere per un rientro a scuola in
sicurezza a partire dal settembre 2021.
I nostri obiettivi sono:
• Proteggere la salute e la sicurezza di studenti, staff e genitori
• Seguire le linee guida emanate dal Ministero della Salute e
dell'Istruzione italiani
• Fornire chiare aspettative a tutti i membri della nostra comunità
durante questo periodo di apprendimento in emergenza
La scuola monitorerà e modificherà adeguatamente le procedure di
salute e sicurezza secondo l’evoluzione delle linee guida emanate
dalle competenti autorità sanitarie nazionali ed internazionali.

13MISURE PREVENTIVE
● La normativa italiana in vigore non prevede l'obbligo di test, tuttavia la scuola ha
chiesto, nell’ottica di ridurre il rischio, a tutti i dipendenti di fare volontariamente
test sierologici prima dell'inizio della scuola.
● Chiediamo a tutte le famiglie di compilare il modulo di autodichiarazione per
garantire con continuità la sicurezza della nostra comunità scolastica. Si prega di
scaricare il modulo in inglese o Italiano, compilarlo ed inviarlo a questo indirizzo,
prima dell’inizio della scuola: office@romeinternationalschool.it
● All’ingresso vi verrà misurata la temperatura corporea
● I dispositivi di protezione personale, come le mascherine, devono essere indossati
in ogni momento dal momento in cui si entra nell'edificio e devono essere
indossati quando ci si sposta nella scuola. Le distanze sociali devono essere
rispettate in ogni momento.
● L'accesso dei genitori e/o visitatori al campus sarà limitato e solo su
appuntamento
● Abbiamo aumentato le postazioni disinfettanti per le mani e le abbiamo
posizionate in tutta la scuola oltre ai tappetini di disinfezione nei punti di ingresso /
uscita
● Il sistema dell’aria condizionata ed i filtri sono stati completamente modificati e
resi conformi alle normative anti Covid-19
● Gli ascensori devono essere utilizzati solo da una persona alla volta.
● Abbiamo incrementato le procedure di pulizia di tutte le superfici ed aree
comuni andando oltre i requisiti minimi previsti dalle normative governative
● Segnaletica: cartelli / poster sono stati collocati in tutta la scuola per ricordare e
rafforzare la pratica igienica essenziale. Gli insegnanti si assicureranno che gli
alunni si lavino le mani regolarmente durante la giornata scolastica
● Chiediamo a tutte le famiglie di rispettare le indicazioni per l’utilizzo delle parti
comuni
● Le procedure di ingresso/uscita per le classi dal Y1 al Y13 seguiranno un sistema di
Pick-up e Drop-off studiati appositamente per mantenere le distanze sociali.

2020).
Ogni membro della comunità che si trovi in sede e che mostri febbre e
sintomi simil-influenzali, come descritto nel punto precedente, sarà gestito
secondo la procedura appositamente predisposta e sarà invitato a lasciare
la scuola. Tutti questi casi saranno prontamente e confidenzialmente
comunicati alla Direzione della scuola, per consentire l’adozione delle
ulteriori misure di sanificazione e prevenzione.
La scuola continuerà a promuovere la consapevolezza della corretta igiene
da rispettare e, per questa ragione, i disinfettanti per le mani saranno
posizionati nei punti strategici di tutta la scuola. Cartelli ed avvisi saranno
resi disponibili ovunque, ricordando le principali regole di una corretta igiene
personale.
L'accesso dei genitori e/o visitatori al campus sarà limitato e solo su
appuntamento.
Le procedure di ingresso/uscita per le classi dal Y1 al Y13 seguiranno un
sistema di Pick-up e Drop-off studiati appositamente per mantenere le
distanze sociali.

Proteggi te stesso e chi ti sta accanto rispettando queste semplici regole
● Se hai febbre, tosse o difficoltà respiratorie rimani a casa, contatta il tuo
medico o il numero 1500;
● Evita di toccare con le mani i tuoi occhi, il naso e la bocca;
● Pulisci sempre le scarpe all’ingresso della scuola;
● Nel caso di tosse o starnuto, copri la bocca ed il naso con un fazzoletto
oppure copriti con la piega del gomito;
● Contribuisci a mantenere le superfici pulite e sanificate;
● Aiuta a mantenere l’interno dei pullmini pulito ed igienico;
● Getta i fazzoletti, i guanti e le mascherine – subito dopo l’uso - negli
appositi cestini seguendo le indicazioni della scuola.
17COSA ACCADRA’ ALL’INIZIO DEL NUOVO ANNO
SCOLASTICO?
E ’ appena stata completata la pulizia estiva della Rome International
School e la scuola verrà pulita a fondo di nuovo a fine agosto.
Al rientro a scuola dello Staff responsabile delle singole classi, si
terrà una formazione specifica al fine di implementar e i protocolli e
le procedure che saranno applicate, il cui perfezionamento andrà
avanti per tutto il periodo estivo.
Gli studenti rientreranno a scuola seguendo il calendario di seguito
illustrato:
• 6 se ttembre (E arly Years e Year 1, Years 10 - 13)
• 7 se ttembre (Years 2 - 6, Years 7- 9)
COME INIZIERA’ LA GIORNATA SCOLASTICA?
L’inizio scaglionato della giornata permetterà agli studenti di avere accesso
alla scuola in maniera sicura, nel rispetto delle principali linee guida del
protocollo di sicurezza. Qui di seguito riportiamo i punti principali
dell’organizzazione interna:
8.30 – Scuola Media e Liceo
Gli studenti di Scuola Media e Liceo entreranno a scuola utilizzando
l’ingresso posto al 3° piano. Gli studenti si recheranno poi direttamente in
classe dove presenzieranno all’appello.
8.50 – Years 4, 5 e 6
Gli studenti di Years 4, 5 e 6 entreranno a scuola utilizzando l’ingresso posto
al livello della Reception al 1° piano..
9.00 – Years 1, 2 e 3
Le classi Years 1, 2 e 3 entreranno a scuola utilizzando le porte ubicate in
prossimità dei tavoli da gioco situati al 1° piano e saranno accolti da
preposti membri dello Staff ed accompagnati in classe dove saranno attesi
dai propri insegnanti.
189.10 – Nursery, Kindergarten e Transition
I bambini di Nursery, Kindergarten e Transition entreranno utilizzando il
cancello del giardino situato al 1° piano.
Ai genitori dei bambini della Early Years sarà permesso l’accesso al giardino.
Sarà nostra cura tenervi informati qualora ci fossero dei cambiamento di
procedura. Se lo studente ha un fratello/sorella con un orario diverso di drop-
off e pick-up, saremo in grado di accoglierlo/a in una zona specifica dove
aspetterà, rispettando le distanze sociali
COME SARA’ L’USCITA DA SCUOLA?
Come per le nostre procedure di ingresso, ci sarà un “fine giornata”
scaglionato, che consentirà a tutte le famiglie di uscire dall'edificio nel modo
più sicuro possibile.
La fine della giornata scolastica

Years 1 e 2 in uscita al’esterno al 1° piano
15.30 Years 3 e 4 in uscita al’esterno al 1° piano
Years 5 e 6 in uscita al di fuori del 3° piano
16.05 Gli studenti delle medie e superiori con microcar e i pedoni
usciranno dal 1° piano.
Tutti gli studenti che utilizzeranno auto private per lasciare
il plesso scolastico usciranno dal 3° piano.
* Si prega di prendere nota che solo i genitori della sezione Early Years
potranno utilizzare l'area di parcheggio al 3° piano ed entrare nell'edificio per
ritirare il proprio bambino.
Ciò consentirà anche ai genitori dei nostri studenti più piccoli di confrontarsi
brevemente con l'insegnante del proprio figlio alla fine della giornata.
NB: Gli studenti IB di Years 12 e 13 potranno lasciare la scuola al termine
dell'ultima lezione.
I pass permanenti – in numero limitato - saranno rilasciati all'inizio dell'anno
scolastico.
19QUANDO POTRO’ INCONTRARE L’INSEGNANTE DI
CLASSE?
Al fine di rendere per tutti gli studenti il rientro a scuola il più graduale
possibile, dai più giovani ai più grandi, abbiamo previsto degli incontri virtuali
all’ inizio di Settembre, per far incontrare e conoscere insegnanti di classe e
famiglie.
Più tardi nel corso dell’anno, se possibile e compatibilmente con le normative
governative, verranno organizzati incontri in presenza tra gli insegnanti e i
genitori.
Abbiamo previsto un periodo di inserimento per i bambini della sezione Early
Years, per permettere loro di adattarsi gradualmente alla vita scolastica.
I dettagli di tale inserimento sono stati comunicati alle famiglie.
COME SARA’ REGOLAMENTATO L’ACCESSO AL CAMPUS?
Al fine di assicurare il mantenimento degli standard di sicurezza e salute per
l’intera comunità scolastica, all’ingresso vi verrà misurata la temperatura
corporea. L’accesso sarà consentito nel rispetto del distanziamento sociale e
verrete incoraggiati a sanificare le mani. Vi verrà richiesto di indossare la
mascherina e/o equivalente equipaggiamento personale di protezione.
● Non si autorizzerà l’accesso alla scuola ad ogni membro della comunità
cha abbia sintomi di infezione respiratoria, febbre superiore ai 37,5° C. e ai
dipendenti della scuola asintomatici che hanno avuto negli ultimi 14 giorni
contatti con una persona contagiata dal COVID-19 (DPCM 8 marzo 2020).
● Gli accompagnatori dei pulmini scolastici, misureranno la temperatura a
tutti i fruitori del servizio prima di autorizzare l’ingresso a bordo. Sarà
obbligatorio l’utilizzo di mascherine per l’intera durata dello spostamento.
● Postazioni di disinfezione e di sanificazione delle mani saranno posizionate
ad ogni ingresso della scuola.
● Ad eccezione dei genitori della sezione Early Years (inoltre solo ad un
genitore sarà permesso entrare nella scuola) in generale ai genitori non
sarà consentito l’ingresso nel campus se non in possesso di un
appuntamento.
● Si prega di prendere nota che sarà permesso il transito dei veicoli
limitatamente alle sole operazioni di l drop-off / pick-up e nel caso in cui si
20abbia un appuntamento precedentemente concordato con un insegnante o
con un membro amministrativo dello staff.
COME VERRA’ ASSICURATO IL DISTANZIAMENTO
SOCIALE?
Tutti gli spazi della Rome International School saranno organizzati in modo
da garantire una distanza sociale di non meno di 1 metro tra ciascun
individuo, secondo l'ultimo decreto emanato dal Governo Italiano. Le classi
avranno banchi / tavoli opportunamente separati con segni chiaramente
delineati sul pavimento in modo che gli addetti alle pulizie assicurino che i
tavoli vengano posizionati rispettando le giuste distanze.
I sistemi di circolazione a senso unico saranno seguiti nei corridoi e una
chiara segnaletica sarà evidente in tutta la scuola. Prima dell’inizio della
giornata scolastica, disinfetteremo tutti gli spazi e le superfici, compresi i
materiali e le attrezzature di apprendimento.
Le stazioni di disinfezione delle mani continueranno a essere presenti in tutta
la scuola oltre ai tappetini di disinfezione nei punti chiave di entrata/uscita.
Uso delle aree comuni
• Gli studenti accederanno alle tre sale da pranzo per turni;
• Educazione fisica:
• ci assicureremo che i partecipanti agli sport di squadra seguano
rigide regole igieniche prima e dopo le partite;
• tutta l’attrezzatura sportiva verrà sanificata dopo ogni utilizzo;
• Ad ogni spostamento all’interno della scuola e nelle aree comuni, verrà
necessariamente richiesto a tutti i membri della comunità scolastica di
indossare le mascherine di protezione individuale.
ARIA CONDIZIONATA
La scuola ha aggiornato il proprio sistema di ventilazione, apportando le
dovute modifiche ai filtri nel rispetto degli standard richiesti. Quando
possibile le finestre verranno mantenute aperte per garantire l'ingresso di
aria fresca nell'edificio e, quando l'aria condizionata è in uso, l'aria non verrà
riciclata ma entrerà e uscirà dall'edificio senza essere riutilizzata.
21COME SARANNO ORGANIZZATE LE CLASSI?
Saranno rimossi tessuti e arredi morbidi, nonché materiali naturali che non
possono essere facilmente lavati. La quantità di materiali e risorse nelle aule
sarà ridotta e gli studenti saranno coinvolti in questo processo.
Ad ogni studente della Early Years e della scuola elementare verrà
consegnato il proprio "kit di cancelleria" che verrà utilizzato solo da lui/lei.
Il kit rimarrà a scuola.
Nella scuola media e superiore abbiamo apportato alcune modifiche
strutturali per poter ospitare grandi classi quando necessario ma anche di
creare gruppi più piccoli quando lo spazio deve essere ottimizzato (alcuni
muri sono stati sostituiti con pareti mobili)
COME GARANTIREMO LE LEZIONI IN SICUREZZA?
Tutte le lezioni si terranno rispettando le distanze sociali e riducendo i
movimenti all'interno della scuola ogni volta che sarà possibile. Ciò significa,
ad esempio, che alcune lezioni specialistiche si terranno in classe e non
nella stanza "preposta”.
Muoversi ed usare i nostri spazi esterni è una parte fondamentale del nostro
piano educativo e pertanto incrementeremo l’utilizzo delle classi all'aperto
e di tutti gli spazi esterni a nostra disposizione. Garantiremo inoltre il
benessere dei nostri studenti attraverso una serie di attività come sessioni di
stretching e di movimento che potranno essere svolte su base individuale.
Le lezioni di sport e di musica si terranno rispettando la necessità di
distanziamento e seguendo rigorose misure igieniche.
COME ESSERE SICURI CHE GLI ALUNNI PIU’ PICCOLI SI
ADATTERANNO ALLA VITA SCOLASTICA?
Le classi di Early Years non saranno soggette al
distanziamento sociale tra i bambini, tuttavia la formazione delle classi e le
routine saranno pianificate attentamente per garantire i migliori standard
22possibili di igiene e sicurezza. Vogliamo che i nostri studenti più piccoli si
sentano sicuri all'interno della nostra scuola e per garantire ciò adotteremo
le seguenti misure:
● Il contatto fisico sarà adeguato alle loro esigenze, in particolare
quando riceveranno assistenza personale ed avranno bisogno di
conforto o rassicurazione. Ciò prevede che il personale sia in grado
di abbracciare e confortare i bambini, se necessario. È importante
che i bambini siano seguiti sensibilmente in questa nuova
impostazione.
● Ridurremo al minimo il contatto tra gruppi di bambini. Lo scopo dei
piccoli gruppi è quello di limitare il più possibile il numero di contatti
tra ogni bambino e il personale in servizio. Interazioni brevi o
transitorie come il passaggio in corridoio o l'attraversamento di spazi
di gioco per accedere ad altri spazi, sono considerati a basso rischio.
● Incrementeremo l'utilizzo degli spazi esterni. Recenti studi
confermano che gli ambienti esterni possono limitare la trasmissione.
Abbiamo un grande vantaggio nel poter disporre di aree all'aperto in
cui i bambini possono esplorare e imparare in un ambiente sicuro e
naturale.
COME SARANNO ORGANIZZATI I MOMENTI DI SVAGO E LA
RICREAZIONE?
Durante la ricreazione i bambini di Early Years e gli
studenti delle elementari, rimarranno nella loro classe in gruppi. Avranno
un'area assegnata nel parco giochi dove rimarranno e non si mescoleranno
con gli studenti di altre classi. Naturalmente gli forniremo uno spuntino
salutare per aiutarli ad affrontare la giornata!
I nostri studenti più grandi potranno sfruttare gli ampi
spazi delle nostre terrazze ubicate al 3° e al 4° piano
COME SARA’ ORGANIZZATA LA PAUSA PRANZO?
Siamo molto fortunati ad avere in dotazione ben 3 mense. Ciò ci consentirà
di garantire il distanziamento tra gli studenti oltre che beneficiare dei nostri
pranzi biologici!
Abbiamo incrementato le pause in modo da avere più tempo per pulire e
disinfettare i locali ad cambio di turno.
23La scuola media e superiore seguirà un timetable dedicato, con pause e
pranzi scaglionati per ridurre al minimo l’afflusso di studenti nelle ore di
punta.
Abbiamo prolungato l'ora di pranzo per le medie e liceo inserendo due turni
da 55 minuti, raddoppiando il tempo a disposizione degli studenti per
pranzare in assoluta tranquillità e sicurezza..

QUALI PROCEDURE SI APPLICANO AGLI UTENTI DELLO
SCUOLABUS?
Vogliamo assicurare alle nostre famiglie che stiamo costantemente monitorando
e applicando le ultime linee guida emesse dalle autorità competenti.
Gli utenti dello scuolabus saranno obbligati ad indossare le mascherine per
l'intero percorso casa/scuola e prima di salire a bordo verrà loro misurata la
temperatura dall'assistente del bus.
SERVIZIO SCUOLABUS 2021-2022
SI TERRANNO LE ATTIVITA’ DOPO SCUOLA?
Assolutamente si. Ovviamente svolgeremo una vasta gamma di attività
extracurricolari, sia in presenza che online – ove necessario - compresi i
corsi dedicati alle attività fisica, alle lingue straniere, alla creatività e alla
tecnologia.
Si prega di notare che fino a nuovo avviso, le attività extracurriculari non
sono aperte a studenti esterni ad eccezione dei corsi di Scherma Accademia
D'Armi Musumeci Greco 1878 e di Pallavolo ASD Poolstars. Gli studenti
esterni coinvolti in queste due attività dovranno sottoporsi ad un test
sierologico obbligatorio.

24QUALI SONO LE PROCEDURE CHE SEGUIREMO NEL CASO
CI SIA UN SOSPETTO DI COVID-19 A SCUOLA?
● Dopo una valutazione iniziale da parte dell'infermiere/First Aid Officer
presente a scuola, si provvederà all'isolamento immediato del
soggetto che presenta sintomi, all'interno dell'area di
quarantena fino a quando non lascerà i locali della scuola
● Il soggetto dovrà contattare immediatamente il proprio medico di
famiglia, pediatra o la guardia medica e chiamare il numero 1500 o
800 118 800 (per la regione Lazio)
● Alle persone soggette a quarantena per disposizione delle autorità
sanitarie, è vietato spostarsi dalla propria abitazione o residenza.
Saranno forniti consigli su come evitare ulteriori contagi con altri
membri del nucleo familiare
● I genitori dovranno informare immediatamente la scuola scrivendo
a office@romeinternationalschool.it se il proprio figlio/a o un membro
del proprio nucleo familiare:
● Risulta positivo al Covid-19, o manifesta i sintomi di Covid-19
o Se viaggerà o ha fatto ritorno da una zona, regione o nazione
ad alto rischio di contagio Covid-19 nelle ultime 24 ore
o Può essere classificato come soggetto a rischio di contagio

QUALI PROCEDURE PRENDEREMO SE CI SARA’ UN CASO
DI COVID-19 A SCUOLA?
● Se ad un individuo viene diagnosticato il Covid-19 tramite test, le
autorità sanitarie locali porteranno avanti un'indagine epidemiologica
per cercare la fonte del contagio, identificare e sottoporre a test tutti i
contatti stretti.
25● Le autorità si metteranno in contatto con la scuola per stabilire un
elenco di tutti i contatti stretti che saranno poi inclusi in uno specifico
piano di sorveglianza che include una quarantena di 14 giorni e test
su chiunque diventi sintomatico.
● La scuola applicherà tutte le misure delineate dal Governo qualora
venga confermato un caso a scuola ed i genitori saranno
immediatamente informati.
LA SCUOLA FORNIRA’ L’APPRENDIMENTO A DISTANZA
NEL CASO MIO FIGLIO/A NON SARA’ IN GRADO DI
FREQUENTARE LE LEZIONI?
Nel caso in cui uno studente non possa frequentare le lezioni per un periodo
di tempo, per misure di prevenzione o un membro della sua famiglia sia
diagnosticato come caso Covid-19 confermato, lo studente sarà abilitato a
seguire le lezioni online.
