Brisbane Metro
              Construction starts 2019

The future of travel
Next year construction on Brisbane Metro gets underway, but what will
the new public transport solution mean for you?
Whether you live or work close to one of the two dedicated lines, or are Getting you M
based in other suburbs, Brisbane Metro will change the way you travel home up to s
and get you home quicker and safer. 50% faster
How will Metro affect me?
Brisbane Metro will cut the number of buses going into the CBD, which
means more bus services in suburbs right across Brisbane. It will also
reduce congestion by removing hundreds of buses from inner city
bottlenecks.
High-frequency services will operate every three minutes in peak periods
Getting you More buses in S
and every five minutes in off peak. What’s more, because services will run suburbs across
                                                          home up to 3

So when will Metro services start?
The project is now fully funded with procurement underway, meaning
detailed design and construction will commence next year, with services
starting in 2023.

Getting you More buses in Services every

Project update
                    50% faster Brisbane peak hour
We are pleased to say Brisbane Metro is in the procurement phase
of the project. This is a unique opportunity for local and international
businesses to be part of a new generational project that will
revolutionise travel by reducing congestion on our roads and allowing
you to spend less time travelling and more time doing the things
                                                                                              Brisbane Metro
