      Crooners Presents - Country Crooners with Sherwin & Pam Linton

The first instrument I attempted to play when I was four or five years old was
the piano in our living room. Most homes in those days had a piano and
several family members who played it. My older sister was in high school and
had already learned to play the popular songs of the day and some Classical. I
would plunk on the keys thinking I was playing the popular WWII song “The
Caisson’s Go Rolling Along.” By the time I was ten, I was learning to play

guitar. Fast forward to 1973 when I was in a music store in Grand Forks, North
Dakota I saw an antique 1865 7’ Weber grand piano and purchased it. It was
loaded it into a truck and brought it to my Twin Cities home. Since then it has
been a show piece in my family room. I play it a little but I am not a pianist
but I love it when someone does play this beautiful instrument.

On April 10 and 11 Pam and I will be accompanied on a beautiful grand piano
played by Norton Lawellin at Crooners Supper Club in Fridley, MN. Our show is
titled “Crooners Presents – Country Crooners with Sherwin & Pam Linton.” We
will do a 90-mnute show beginning at 5:30 PM each evening and sing the
songs of Classic Country crooners like Eddy Arnold, Jim Reeves, Dottie West,
George Jones, Don Williams, Skeeter Davis and more. We’ll be in the
Dunsmore Room at Crooners which has socially distanced limited seating with
an intimate atmosphere. We hope you will join us as we share many beautiful
Country love songs.

Sherwin's Song Featured in Television Show
Stargirl is an American superhero television series which airs on the
streaming service DC Universe. The show is based on the DC Comics
superhero Stargirl. Stargirl Courtney Whitmore is a high school
student who discovers a cosmic staff and becomes the inspiration for
a new generation of superheroes known as the "Justice Society of
America." The television show is filmed in the Atlanta metropolitan
area in Georgia and it's first season of 13 episodes premiered in May
of 2020.

We are excited that a portion of Sherwin's 1962 song "Twist A Hole
In The Ground" has been featured in Episode #106 of this show
which initially aired on June 23, 2020. Click the link below to view
the show. You will hear the song segment about 25 minutes into the
episode in a 1950's diner scene. You will hear the saxaphone intro
and a few lines of Sherwin singing "Twistin' around and up and
down." For this Sherwin was paid a handsome BMI performance
royalty.

Facebook Page Friday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM. The next
performance will be Sunday, February 14th.

Live entertainment has been sidelined due to the Covid-19
pandemic. Sherwin and Pam offer an entertainment option with a
relaxed one hour performance "Live" from their living room. They
would love for you to join their social media family for traditional
Country Music and oldies Rockabilly on Friday evenings and Gospel
and Inspirational on Sunday evenings.
