WHY SINGAPORE?
✓ Singapore has always been recognized as an established global financial services hub and is constantly
in top 5 positions1 globally alongside New York City and London. More recently, the country has eclipsed
its peers and is now positioned as one of the top few Fintech hubs around the world2.
✓ Singapore is well positioned and connected in ASEAN and Asia which allows Swiss Companies to use
Singapore as a regional headquarters to serve the region.
✓ The country is home to over 200 banks with total assets amounting to USD 2 trillion3
✓ Singapore has both achieved record high investments USD 229 million4 in the Fintech industry in 2017
and has seen close to 200 foreign and local Fintech companies commence domestic operations from 2014
to 2016 – registering the fastest growth rate in Asia.
✓ Strong commitment by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Singapore’s central bank and financial
regulator to develop the Fintech Ecosystem by way of a SGD $225 million support for Fintech projects5
and applications.

ecosystem, the high level of governmental support (through ample funding, policies, light-touch regulation
and even the pioneering of project/initiatives), the availability of funding (both from the private and public
