Conditions of Entry
The Tournament is open and will be played under the rules
     of Bowls England.
     1. The entire management and control is vested in the organisers, whose decision shall be
          final and binding.
     2. Singles games will be decided on 21 shots. Pairs games, prior to the penultimate round,
will be decided on 18 ends. The semi final rounds of the pairs competition will be
          decided on 21 ends.
     3. Substitutes shall not be permitted in the Singles Competitions and only one in the
Pairs. In the Pairs, substitutes will not be allowed after initial participation, except in
extenuating circumstances acceptable to the Organisers.
     4. The Official Score Card must be handed in immediately upon completion of the game,
after being signed by the loser in Singles and by the losing Skip in Pairs. The winners
must make themselves aware of the time when they will be required to play in the next
round and report no less than ten minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
     5. Please can all competitors in the singles make sure you have a marker. The Green
Umpire will be available to arbitrate on any points of dispute. All Markers should make
themselves fully conversant with the Official Instructions to Markers (available from the
Umpire). Under no circumstances are competitors to move rink markers. Any queries
concerning the position of the markers and rink boundary pins must be referred to the
          Umpire.
     6. The smooth running of the Tournament can only be achieved with the co-operation
of the competitors. Delaying tactics can create an upheaval of the entire Tournament
schedule. Therefore any competitor not in attendance at the time play is scheduled to
start risks disqualification. Incomplete Pairs will not be allowed to commence play under
          any circumstances.
     7. In the Pairs, only the Skip is allowed to visit the head, once only per end. Owing to time
constraints, your co-operation in this matter is requested. Opposing Skip must report
any violation to the Organisers immediately.
     8. In the event of wet weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the Organisers shall
be the sole judges as to whether any green is playable and shall be empowered to
          postpone or regulate play.
     9. Please note that vehicles are not allowed on the road behind the greens.
     10. Any point not provided for in Bowls England’s rules or these conditions will be decided
