                                                  Une toute petite seconde
A fresh episode in the life of Jacominus, in a new, larger and more ample
                format to discover...

Where will she stop? Rébecca Dautremer has not finished her multi-faceted recounting
of the life of her rabbit Jacominus Gainsborough. Following his Rich Hours, then the
long-awaited appearance of his fiancée in her Midi Pile, she has chosen to suspend time:
so here is everything that is happening around Jacominus in that split second which will
dramatically change his destiny, when he takes the terrible tumble on the stairs that will
leave him with a gammy leg.

As time contracts, the setting broadens. It even assumes a spectacular scale. In a fol-
dout measuring over 2 metres, the artist unfurls a Breughel-like fresco in which en-
chanted readers can immerse themselves during their own "rich hours". They will dis-
cover 100 delicious vignettes, narrated in a booklet in its own sleeve, at the beginning.
The author has in fact imagined what over 100 different characters experienced in that
same split second! Strange or joyful moments, funny or serious, all connected to each
other and all following on in a butterfly effect from that famous tumble.

                                                   Owl
Whoo, whoo! Where are you, little owl, hidden in the dark?

You can hear it in the night, in barns or in the depths of the forest: it’s the owl hooting! If
you look up, you can also see it: there, in the great beech tree! Or over there, in the bell
tower! It’s eyes are large and mysterious, its head can revolve almost entirely on its neck,
and its huge wings spread out when it goes in search of insects, frogs, field mice to feed
its young! But in the end, what is the difference between the great owl and the barn owl?
You’ll find the answer in this new “Tout mignon” (Cute Little Friends)!
       - Attractive illustrations highlighting the plumage of this big-eyed bird.
       - A book full of surprises, in a now well-established series.

                                           Ladybird
A close-up view of every child's favourite small spotted creature

What is black and red and moves? And sometimes also yellow and black, or even entirely
orange... and in a few cases, with lots or absolutely no spots at all on its wings! You must have
recognised it by now as the ladybird we all love so much! And here she is, studied in minute
detail in the garden, on leaves or among the flowers, devouring aphids and bugs or laying her
golden jewel-like eggs, before finding a safe place to spend the winter.
As in previous books by this creative duo, reading becomes playful and interactive thanks to
the use of flaps, which introduce a moment's pause to the narration and a surprise to each
page... A true game of hide and seek with the adorable little ladybird!

                                        the turtledove
The tale of the ugly duckling, here set in a tree-shaped book with a
little turtledove who has no time for teasing!

Meet Christelle, the little turtledove! Coo! In her nest, she wees and has her
bath, coo coo!, eats her purée or bounces on her favourite trampoline, coo coo
coo! and especially loves to dance the "chirpy chirpy cheep cheep"! But soon,
Christelle no longer has smooth pink skin like a baby's: small feathers appear
here and there... which turn into a funny and peculiar plumage and the crows
make fun of her: "Christelle is no longer belle! Ha ha ha!" Poor Christelle!

But he who laughs last laughs longest: for one fine day, Christelle is transformed
into a magnificent turtledove who takes to the sky in flight, proud and beautiful!

Beneath, more than 100 baby animals are hiding, well hidden by their parents: in the

                                         Neat and Tidy
                                            in the garden
Third title in a series with an original and stimulating concept to play at
tidying up (and untidying) the world!

Spring is here! Time to get a move on in the garden! The lawn and gardens are each pre-
sented in an attractively coloured double-page spread, teeming with characters totally
irresistible in their interactions, and objects. As previously, nothing is in the right place!
Here and there, there are even some odd ones out... a thermometer in the flowerpot, a
mole on the barbeque or a piranha in the goldfish pond!

The seasons go by, autumn arrives and we find ourselves in the vegetable patch, then in the
warmth of the greenhouse... and finally, walking in the snow, round the garden shed.
An innovative and original series set in an appealing environment, the garden!

                                        After the circus
What happens to circus performers when the audience leaves?

When you go to sleep, tucked up snugly in your bed, do you imagine what the tightrope
walker, the horserider, the clown, the contortionist, or even the tiger and the bird are doing?
Perhaps the sword swallower is struggling to digest? Or some of them are escaping? The
contortionist is certainly unravelling and the clown continues... to play the clown.
Taking up the paintbrush for the first time, in the course of this simple and tender
picture book, Didier Lévy invites the very young reader to discover how everyone lives his
              own life, starting with himself.

And when everyone, audience and performers alike, has fallen into a deep sleep, the cir-
cus can finally fly away and, like a meteorite, reach the great land of dreams... Goodnight!!

      Choux Do fish know
                                how to swim?
If fish came out of the sea, they would soon learn that in the human world you have
to earn money. As they are familiar with the places shrimps hide, they would become rich
selling shrimps. So the shrimps would move to the treetops, then they would grow wings
to escape the fish. Setting out to find them, the fish would be shipwrecked - and they would
rediscover the pleasure of swimming... money or not!

A light and comical tale on the theme "money doesn't buy happiness".

                               A roof for you
A roof can be for a few days... or for a lifetime!

A bird builds its nest, a child plays at creating dens, one likes solitude, the other
noisy and cosy gatherings... It takes everything to make a world and just as many
roofs and ways of inhabiting the planet in order to become oneself. This sensitive
album, suffused with poetry, evokes these thousand and one ways of living that
teach us so much about ourselves. Without judgement, without insistence, leaving
      everything mostly open to interpretation.

With enchanting images that make you want to curl up by the fire, as well as to set
      off to explore...

           Madame Lacrotte (Pooface)
Madame Lacrotte (Pooface) is the most obliging, amicable and generous
     of frogs.
With her shiny eyes and her beautiful skin as blue as the sea, she has everything going for
her. And yet... And yet, she is terribly lonely. Who would really want to share their destiny
with a creature saddled with such a name? Imagine carving on a tree: Paul loves Lacrotte
(Pooface). No one in the village spared her from the worst jokes and puns... How lovely
you smell, Lacrotte (Pooface)! Bye, Lacrotte (Pooface), and don't forget to flush the loo!

Poor thing! It wasn't fair! Until she found in the phonebook the number of a certain Monsieur
Vomi (Vomit). Perhaps he would become her friend?

                            Love and Confetti
Love is like splashing around in a swimming pool full of confetti!

Edgar Bottillon happily runs the family confetti business, just as his father and his grand-
father had done before him. But his wife, Edwige Mitaine, far from shares his passion! The
confetti has even become her worst nightmare. She found it everywhere: under the glass
cloche dessert stand, on each step of the staircase, under her flanelette bedspread... and
one day, even in her knickers! That was the last straw, Edwige packed her bag and off she
went. Edgar was left on his own... How can you make brightly coloured confetti when you
have a broken heart? He starts to make confetti that is entirely grey...

The story of a very special family with a huge heart!

One evening, Papa comes home from work followed by a small Japanese boy, abandoned
by his mother. And so he is adopted. Then Papa comes back, followed by a couple of men.
They are adopted too! The next day, it is the turn of a lama. Then a sad clown. And shortly
afterwards, five dwarf carpenters. Gradually, the table expands. This dad is simply very,
      very, very generous.
An openminded and comical tale, in which it is easy to become absorbed. It also teaches us
a lot about our own received ideas! Because, of course, the little Japanese boy's mother soon
rings the doorbell: a Japanese mother never abandons her child. She has searched for him
everywhere, and now here she is with the other nine... Narrow minds, stay away!

A dream setting in Venice for three amazing and amusing tales!

Cats disguised with false moustaches, over-fervent lovers, department store Father Christ-
mases with the real one in their midst... With characters like these, comedy is never far
away! They all have in common the fact of taking Captain ***'s vaporetto, which travels
through this city of labyrinthine canals and forges a link between these three stories, by
turns funny and amazing. Because mystery soon comes onto the scene: nothing out of the
ordinary in the City of the Doges, where so many intrigues have been woven and unravelled.

Each tale opens with a folding leaflet, allowing the reader to enter the story in no time at
all and to create a triptych while turning the page, the image continuing on the other side.

Wise Bear, the Children of Thunder’s grand-pa, gathers all the Apaches in the valley, and
sends Wild Cloud and Blue Tornado to find a bat and a cat's tail, then he calls up the spirits.
And, from the depths of the desecrated tomb, the bones of the zombi begin to spin around...

           Short tales of the Revolution
                      from kids around the world
In Russia, Vlad launches a movement to have fewer potatoes in the canteen,
while in New Zealand, Nikki the young ballerina can't bear not achieving per-fec-tion, as
her mother would wish. In Greenland, Sofi and Oukiok dream of going on holiday, while
Anousha, born in the desert between Syria and Iraq, dreams of a world without borders.
Their childhoods are happy or sometimes serious, their causes small and sometimes huge,
but they all have something in common: they're all starting a REVOLUTION!
This collection of short tales by a famous French writer in a serious and radiant childhood
spirit reminds us that the revolution, whether it is to have a record player or the right to love
who you want, is - also and perhaps above all - a matter for children.

This “classic of classics”, now finally part of Sarbacane’s illustrated Grands Classiques
(Great Classics) collection, fresh from the paintbrush of the formidable Maurizio Quarello.

At some time or another, an illustrator will want to tackle Treasure Island… That time has come
for the Italian artist Maurizio Quarello, this being his favourite adventure story. Who better than
he to present to younger readers, in a collection in which he has already proved his worth, this
universal masterpiece, so rich and full of suspense, twists and spectacular turns of events? And
with its ambiguous characters, where nothing is entirely black or white… and no more pirates
than cabin boys, sailors or captains! This balance also found in Stevenson’s The Strange Case of
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, also illustrated with his characteristic feeling for light and chiaroscuro, by
Maurizio Quarello… The Call of the Wild The Queen of Spades Tom Sawyer Detective Bartleby, the Scrivener
