2019
For our spring/summer 2019 collection, we have combined the classic style of Blue de Gênes with the universe of Cote d´Azur vintage fashion icons of the 1960s. The Riviera used to be the home of the "Dolce Vita lifestyle" where Italian and French celebrities like Alain Delon and Gigi Rizzi spent their holidays partying and having romances. The key elements of the concept that inspired the collection are crinkled, fine, raw fa- brics and textures, warm tonalities, worn looks and vintage-inspired knitting techniqu- es. The pieces convey a relaxed feeling, a sense of lightness and a sophisticated simplici- ty, maintaining the roughness and masculinity of the Blue de Gênes DNA. Another focus point is the use of the blue colour in different tonalities: From dark navy to light blue; the colours bring back memories of seaside horizons and communicate positivity, mixed with a marine summer vibe. We have also added a soft military touch to the collection, typical of the Blue de Gênes DNA, gently merging with the sun-kissed accent and feeling of the rest of the collection. The styles space in-between a mix of casual china collar and off-white shirts, combined with comfortable stretch raw-looking blazers, vintage polo shirts and navy-inspired t-shirts, resulting in a comfortable and relaxed natural dressed up look. The jeans collection ranges from light-weight denims to strong, vintage-inspired fabrics - many of them with a nice comfortable fit and soft fabrics. The Repi style is presented in a version, made in a comfortable blue denim fabric, which does not fade, but keeps the deep blue indigo colour wash after washing. To the collec- tion is added a line of classic summer trousers, made in light-weight, soft fabrics that all make you want to live the good life on the Cote d´Azur.
