St .Margaret’s Secondary School 2. Subject Combinations 24
Key Considerations for
                            Subject Combinations
1. To provide students with:
     – Subject combinations that will facilitate their progression
to IHLs (e.g. fulfilling JC pre-requisites for offering certain
       subjects)
     – A breadth of choices based on their abilities and
       inclinations
2. Synergy between subjects within the combination
3. School Resources (e.g. manpower, facilities)

St. Margaret’s Secondary School 2. Subject Combinations 25
Key Decision Points:
                              Should I offer…
• Triple Science, Two Pure Sciences or Combined Science?
     – Note that Chemistry is compulsory in all combinations

• Only Combined Humanities or Combined Humanities with one Pure
    Humanities?
     – Combined Humanities is compulsory in all combinations
     – Pure Humanities option available in Two Pure Science and Combined
       Science combinations

• Coursework Subjects
