GRADING SYSTEM

ASSESSMENT:
CREDIT = ZÁPOČET (Zp): only marked P (“pass”) or F (“fail”)
EXAM = ZKOUŠKA (ZK): written/oral/both
USB GRADING SCALE:
1   = A = excellent     2,5 = D = satisfactory

1,5 = B = very good     3   = E = passed

2   = C = good          4   = F = failed

− if a course is completed with „ZÁPOČET“ only, upon successful
  completion of the course you will receive “PASS” grade. If your home
  university requires only ECTS grades (A-F), please ask the lecturer to
  award an ECTS grade or record points into STAG.

- only at some faculties
- at each exam, please ask the teacher to enter your study results (marks
  and grades) both into index/exam sheet and STAG.
- after each exam, please check if the data in “index” and in STAG are
  identical. If they are not, please contact the lecturer immediately.
- you can view your results by logging into STAG (under “My Study”).

E-LEARNING

MOODLE
- e-learning platform, some teachers use it to create
  courses/activities/exams online
- each faculty has got its own access
- to log in MOODLE, use the same username and password as for STAG

ACCOMMODATION
UNIVERSITY DORMITORIES K1 – K5

K = KOLEJ (student dormitory in Czech)

- 24/7 reception desk at each dorm
- payment: one month in advance, always at the 20th of the month for the next month
- Inform 30 days in advance if you want to leave the dormitory
- Internet is available in all student rooms. Connection is possible just by network cable (K1 – Wifi)
- bed linen, duvet are provided
- communal TV room
- Gym at K2, K3 – for fee
- laundry room – for fee; you need to ask for key
- kitchenette – K1 induction cooker – you need to get
  special induction pots and pans

- around 400 – 500 CZK per month
- payment:

      bank account – only if you have Czech bank account
       and introduce it into STAG system
      withdraw at the cashdesk in cash
      usually paid in Mid-May
      you will receive info about the dates of withdrawal by
       e-mail
