Girl Scouts of Heart of Central California is proud to own 18 riding horses. Camp Menzies campers in
sessions that are four days or longer will have the opportunity to participate in a one-hour horseback
riding experience, including a safety orientation, arena instruction and—if you are in grade four and
older—a short trail ride. Campers in grades two and three will stay in the arena and play games. If
you have more than 10 hours of riding experience and are attending a program lasting seven days or
longer, you can sign up for an intermediate ride for an additional fee. These four different horse-themed
programs as well as Wrangler-in-Training, a leadership program for girls in grades 10-12, include extra
ground lessons with our horseback riding staff as well as extended riding periods. Saddle up!
