For 28 Years Saint Paul Urban Tennis has been
developing youth and expanding the opportunities available
to them. Here is a quick look at our history:
1991 - Saint Paul Urban Tennis is formed with support
Northwest Tennis Patrons with the goal of expanding
opportunities to play and learn tennis for youth in Saint Paul.
1992 - Ernie Greene, longtime community leader and avid
tennis coach, merges his efforts with SPUT bringing an
emphasis on character and service with him.
2010 - The United States Tennis Association (USTA) names Saint
Paul Urban Tennis the Outstanding National Junior Tennis and
Learning program in the nation.
2017 - SPUT moves to our new headquarters at Eastview Rec
Center on the east side of Saint Paul giving us the opportunity
to create a meaningful space for neighbors to gather, learn,
and play.
