As Managing Director of Greenwood Group Ltd it is a particular
pleasure to be able to present the first edition of our summer
bedding plants brochure.
Greenwood recently acquired Fresh Acre Nurseries in West Sussex.
Combined with our outstanding industry knowledge, this specialist
growing facility now gives us the opportunity to provide you with a
broader product range and improved buying experience.
Fresh Acres has for many years grown a range of bedding plants
designed for the amenity public sector. Today we bring you this fantastic selection, perfect
for enhancing the aesthetics of the public spaces you work with as landscape contractors.
As one of the UK’s largest growers for landscaping projects nationwide, Greenwood Group
Ltd has more than 100 acres of production space spanning the UK and offers contract
grow for guaranteed reliability.

volumes, provides peace of mind.

Fresh Acre Nurseries is situated in the South East, close to
London. Providing locally grown plants to our clients means a
reduced carbon footprint and products in optimum condition.
The proximity to the sea provides a more even climate for optimal
growth, and also helps to reduce pests and diseases.
Green fingers
Greenwood uses recycled water, helping to preserve this precious
resource. We use detectable recycled plastics for our potting,
and re-use trays in production. Using biological pest and disease
controls also reduces our use of pesticides.

Review any hanging basket and container planting requirements (we are able to fill
your containers and grow the plants on our nursery). Check your order, adding specific
bed numbers and job or area references to make planting easy upon delivery.
Place the order
Place or review your order online via the Tender Tool and select the delivery week
number required.

We take photographs weekly to show the size and quality of
your plants as they grow.
Visit the nursery
Visit the nursery to see the facilities: you can inspect your own
plants and enjoy a free lunch on us!
Track the delivery
Track the delivery and your team will receive notifications.
Add trees or shrubs
Ask for a quotation for any trees or shrubs you will require
throughout the season.
Recycling trolley or packaging
Following delivery, let us know if you have any trolleys or
packaging left over and we will collect them for recycling.

All our plants are carefully sown, germinated and transplanted using our expert production equipment and climate-controlled
growing environment. Our bench-heating system regulates temperature, and moving vents and screens respectively control air
and sunlight exposure.

families to create spectacular summer displays, as recommended
by our nursery manager.
Sunpatiens (Busy Lizzie)
More robust than standard impatiens, with greater spread, these
wonderful plants grow a profusion of flowers in a range of colours
from brilliant lilacs and vivid magentas to blushing pinks and pure
white.
Lobularia (Sweet alyssum)
For colourful coverage, the fragrant and delicate blooms of lobularia
are hard to beat. Its dense mounds of low-growing blooms create
carpets of intense colour.
Canna
The showy flowers and distinctive leaves of the Canna lily make a stunning addition to beds and
borders, in wonderfully vibrant shades of red, orange, yellow and pink.
Fuchsia
The elegant drooping blooms of fuchsia create a beautiful chandelier effect in hanging baskets, and
the pendent shaped flowers add contrast and interest to bedding displays.
