ABOUT A-CERTS
The Association of Company Emergency Response Teams Singapore (A-CERTS) is a non-profit organization
which was established in the year of 2011 and fully supported by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
A-CERTS have embarked a journey to establish a credible avenue and platform for emergency responders,
a unique community group of professionals to come together under one roof and share their experiences. A
sincere effort taken to share valuable insights and professional development opportunities with members.
With the aim to constantly to be in par with the industry standards of excellence and developments, A-CERTS
continues to work side-by-side with many government agencies in developing and enhancing programs and
setting quality benchmarks in the field of Emergency Response & Crisis Management.
ABOUT CERT SEMINAR
A-CERTS’ annual event is back once again in 2019 with a whole new significant agenda specially crafted for the
company emergency responders’ frontlines. The organizing committee of the CERT Seminar went a step higher to
explore against the normal roles and responsibilities of emergency responders.
Previously on 29th March 2018, CERT Seminar was attended by more than 400 participants ranging from emergency
responders, safety officers, executives, managers and directors. The upcoming annual CERT Seminar in 2019 is
expected to surpass the current total where new norms of knowledge, skills and insights will be injected into the minds
of participants to promote professional skills and knowledge.
Keeping the current objective in mind, the agenda is expected to highlight interesting and innovative subject matters
presented by highly distinguished industry experts with the focus centered on the relevant, current and contemporary
issues that will stir the minds of the company emergency responders into exploring new ways towards mitigating for a
safe and secured environment. The 2019 CERT Seminar is yet again a genuine attempt taken by A-CERTS to evoke
great insights via relevant industry presentations, thought provoking debates and innovative panel discussions.
ABOUT THE THEME
The theme Back to Basics – Building A Strong CERT Foundation will be the main focus for the 7th Edition Company
Emergency Response Team (CERT) Seminar where insightful discussions and strong debates focusing on
building an effective standard operation procedure in Emergency Response Plan. Industry experts and panelists
will explore the best practices of potential emergency scenarios and understanding them in order to come up
with defined effective plans and procedures that can aid to control damage to the facility and environment.
The seminar will also take a deep dive into discussing latest regulatory compliance as well as current efforts
carried out SCDF enforcement in making sure the industry stays relevant and prepared towards any upcoming
unforeseen circumstances.
A-CERTS strives to explore for latest methodologies and strategies where immediate actions can be taken to
stabilize an incident and minimize potential damage which will be the key factors to establish a robust CERT in
an organization. The one-day seminar where Fire Safety and Emergency Responders have the opportunity to
be aware of the latest best practices of building and sustaining an effective CERT Foundation in an organization.
