Summer Camp 2019 - WHERE FAITH MEETS ADVENTURE

NovusWay Ministries operates four camps and conference centers in the southeast. Each site boasts the beauty of God’s creation: Lutheridge (near Asheville, NC) and Lutherock (near Boone, NC) are nestled in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, LutherSprings (near Gainesville, FL) offers the serenity of Lake Hawthorne and Lutheranch (near Atlanta, GA) provides a peaceful setting amidst the rolling hills West Georgia. Join us this summer to experience the joy of Jesus in a new way. Each of our summer camps are staffed with caring college age counselors who not only ensure camper safety but see that each camper develops friendships while having tons of fun playing outdoors.

Believing that nature teaches and heals, our programs center around amazing outdoor activities set in the glory of God’s creation. Our creative Bible studies and daily worship times are designed to connect campers to the God of all creation. Each day provides a chance to gain new skills and grow in confidence through adventure-based activities. Living together as a cabin or adventure group teaches social awareness and creates lasting friendships. Our outstanding counselors are caring, faithful role models who help campers grow in discipleship. Because safety is of upmost importance, all of our camps have either certified RN’s, EMS personnel or certified Wilderness First Aid trained staff.

In all that we do, we see God at work, loving us and leading us to love others. Catch a vision of God’s greatness at camp this summer. (L to R): Lori Bode, Pastor Mary Canniff-Kuhn and Pastor Tim Canniff-Kuhn Camp Directors: ELCA Pastors Tim and Mary Canniff-Kuhn have served campers at Lutheridge for over 25 years. Lori Bode has a masters degree in counseling and has served since 2014.

Feel at home at Lutheridge, where there is something for everyone! Whatever your age or interest, you’ll relax in the beauty of God’s creation, make new friends and grow closer to Jesusthe best friend of all! Nestled on 160 acres of trails, trees and nature’s beauty, Lutheridge is just minutes from local shopping, restaurants and the Asheville Airport. Programs for campers in grades 1-12 are offered each week, along with many adult/family programs. A variety of housing options are available. Each program has its own schedule, but the whole camp gathers for opening story, a midweek picnic at the lake and a closing campfire.

With an amazing pool, craft lodges, indoor and outdoor climbing wall, a challenge tower with a zipline, low ropes course, canoes and paddle boats, there is a lot to do onsite. Even more adventures await in nearby Pisgah Forest or the French Broad and Nolichucky Rivers. Lutheridge is a crossroads of faith, friends, nature and adventure. Come experience the best that summer has to give!

All summer youth programs at Lutheridge are accredited by the American Camp Association. Awarded “Best Overnight Camp” in 2018 by WNC Parent magazine. Lutheridge Special Weeks Description Helpful Packing Tips for Camp July 4th Week at Lutheridge: June 30-July 6 All ages and programs enjoy regular camp activities with a patriotic flair. Every age group - including adults - meets daily with renowned choral instructors. Older youth and adults have a wide variety of musical workshop offerings. Highlights include a hymnfest (for adults and high school youth), a concert on Friday to which parents are invited, and a closing festival worship for adults. And there’s still time for all the fun of regular camp activities. If you like music, you’ll love this! Christmas Week at Lutheridge: July 21-27 Christmas in July is magical. There’s costumes and candy canes - and snow! All ages and programs engage the true meaning of the holiday without all the commercialism.

The regular camp activities take on a Christmas flavor and the whole camp gathers for carols and candlelight worship.
