TRAVEL CAMP
Travel Camps offer 4- 14 year olds the opportunity to expand their talents and interests,
build self- confidence and create lasting friendships. These camps take field trips around
Jackson and travel four out of the five days of camp. You MUST sign up for weekly
aut o- draf t , which draf t s Wednesday before t he week of at t endance.
CAMP GROUPS CHARACTER COUNTS
Age is determined as of September 1. YMCA Summer Day Camps focus
on building our four core values:
KIDDIE: 4- 5 years old
(must be potty trained)
CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT
PATHFINDER: 6- 7 years old
ADVENTURER: 8- 9 years old AND RESPONSIBILITY
EXPLORER: 10- 11 years old
TRAILBLAZER: 12- 14 years old
CAMP PARTNERS
COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (Must be at least 14) Thank you to Jackson Symphony
CITs will experience what it takes to be a counselor by Orchestra, Dahlem Center, Jackson
shadowing and assisting staff in daily activities. This is Public Schools, Jackson District Library,
a great way to prepare CITs for a future job in camp, MSU Extension, Cascades Humane
child care, teaching and beyond. Space is limited. Society and the College and Career
Applications must be turned in by May 8. Contact Access Center.

HOBBY AND SKILLS CAMPS
Hobby and Skills camps provide your child with an opportunity to focus on an area of
interest. From cooking to Harry Potter, we have a camp designed with your child in mind. All
camps have limited enrollment; register early to reserve a spot.
The camp hours and registration fee are the same as travel camp. You MUST sign up for
weekly aut o- draf t , which draf t s Wednesday before t he week of at t endance.

1. June 8- 12 SUMMER KICK OFF: Welcome! Trips STEM: Children will explore the natural world,
include Splash Pad (K- P), Nixon (A- T) and create new inventions and make new discoveries!

2. June 15- 19 TASTE OF THE WILD: We're meeting all SWIM CAMP: Kids will learn or refine stroke

IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT SUMMER CAMP
HOW TO REGISTER
Register online at JacksonYMCA.org or in person at the YMCA. Become
a Y member and save on camp and other program fees!
REGISTRATION FEE, DEPOSIT AND FEES
Registration is $30 for first child and $15 for any additional children (financial aid is not applied to
registration fee). Full payment is required the Wednesday prior to the week of attendance. A $10
late fee will be assessed after that date. Families paying full price are eligible for a 10 percent
discount on all children after the first child. Weekly registration closes the Saturday before camp.
