WEDDING VENUE & ESTATE Nooitgedacht is a family owned and managed historical Cape Winelands estate with a rich heritage. Our Cape Dutch homestead and outbuildings date back to 1774, and we have preserved a romantic, old- world feeling, welcoming guests to experience our unique brand of historic charm, warmth and history! Nooitgedacht is located 4 km outside of Stellenbosch on the R304, (also known as the Koelenhof Road). It is a breathtaking setting, boasting expansive lawns shaded by centuries old oak trees and surrounded by orchards, rolling vineyards and magnificent mountains. The original cellar with its rustic atmosphere is used for functions and can accommodate 120-260 guests with a dance floor and 300 without. Adjacent to the cellar we have a faunum/chapel for wedding ceremonies that can accommodate 170 guests. Alternatively, couples may prefer to conduct their ceremony in our beautiful gardens. The Wirth family prides itself on offering guests a personal touch which can be experienced in every aspect of Nooitgedacht’s service offering. Menus, decor and other important details are tailored to suit your personal needs, making your function a unique and truly special occasion. A distinctive feature of Nooitgedacht’s menus is the use of seasonal fresh produce that is well thought out and personalized to suite any wedding. Our opulent bridal suite is situated within the manor house with a beautiful Victorian bathroom and double doors opening onto the front veranda (stoep). In addition, one of the outbuildings adjacent to the manor house has been lovingly converted into three luxury en-suite rooms affectionately named Bella, Milu and Annie. Each suite boasts its own uniquely themed decor and is available for use by the wedding party. You are more than welcome to pay us a visit at the farm to ensure that our offering complies with your needs. Please give us a courtesy call to book an appointment before your arrival. Viewings take place on weekdays and Saturdays between 10h00 and 13h00 unless otherwise arranged. Please feel free to contact us should you require any additional information. This package allows you to book a wedding during the beautiful summer
season and receive a 25 % discount on venue hire and catering between
November 2020 - March 2021. It includes complimentary canapés or midnight
snacks, in addition to your three course meal. There’s no corkage on any wines
that are brought in for the event.
You’re able to use the services of a full wedding coordinator at a reduced rate
of R 7000.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO CONSIDER Nooitgedacht is a family owned and managed historical Cape Winelands estate with a rich heritage. Our Cape Dutch homestead and outbuildings date back to 1774, and we have preserved a romantic, old-world feeling, welcoming guests to experience our unique brand of historic charm, warmth and history! • A deposit (venue hire of R25 000) must be paid and a contract must be completed and signed to confirm function date. • Final food bill to be finalised and paid for 14 days prior to your function. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your breakage deposit and a penalty fine will be charged, whereafter further action will be taken. • Confirmation of the total number of guests must be done 18 days before the function unless otherwise organised with us. • If the total number of guests is less than 100 people for Saturday functions, the client will be expected to pay the difference. • Furniture in the venue is not to be moved without confirming with management. • Any damages to property and breakages will be charged to the client. • No nails or Prestik may be used on the walls and trees. • No fresh rose petals are allowed on the venue floor. Only dry petals allowed. • No feathers or paper confetti allowed. Only fresh or dried flowers. • No microphone system available. If a function coordinator books the venue for the bridal party, the coordinator must e-introduce the couple to the team and contract must be signed by couple. The couple must be present at final function sheet meeting. Brides and function coordinators will be held responsible to convey the above information to decorators and all other relevant parties. If these rules are not adhered to, Nooitgedacht reserves the right of admission. When the bridal couple uses a coordinator to arrange their special day on their behalf, we need to meet with the coordinator and set up a checklist with them. Please inform us whether you are using a coordinator when you book the venue. Please note: Nooitgedacht is not responsible for coordination of your flowers and decor. Please make sure you have a function coordinator for these items. Nooitgedacht undertakes to make your function as unique and special as possible and you can be assured of excellent service and quality from the whole Nooitgedacht team. We are looking forward to working with you in making this an unforgettable experience.
