AREA CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2018
In light of the fear of bird flu and the threat of the Budgerigar virus the Committee
of the Welsh Budgerigar Society have agreed to totally adopt the rules, directives
and guidelines set out by the Budgerigar Society and the requirements placed on it Sunday 26th. August 2018
by DEFRA. Most of the requirements are matters which will be handled by our
appointed Bio Security Officer, Dominic Avo BEM. However, ALL Exhibitors and Llanwern High School, Ringland, Newport.
Visitors are required to take the following minimum actions set out below and are
also required to comply with all Bio Security matters as directed by the Bio Security NP18 2YE
Officer or Officials acting on his behalf. (5 minutes off junction 24 M4)
EXHIBITORS
SHOW OPEN 2pm CLOSING AT 4pm approx.
• By entering your birds into to the show you are agreeing to be bound by the Admission : £1.00 Catalogue £1.00

SATURDAY 25th. August - 6pm - 7pm by prior arrangement
• All birds must be exhibited in CLEAN ‘new style’ show cages. only
SUNDAY 26th. August - 7am – 8.30am
• No show covers or carrying boxes will be allowed into the show hall at any

• On checking birds in, the bottom of the cages must be wiped across the
disinfected mat.
