SUZANNE CLOTHIER 2021 - SEMINAR INFORMATION
Hello!

Thank you for your interest in my work. I am deeply blessed to be able to travel,
teach, and to meet friends old and new – and their handlers too!

The materials here should answer most of your questions about what's involved in
hosting one of my seminars. We've included some information on the wide range of
presentations possible. I am always creating new seminars, and many topics can be
customized or combined to meet your group's interest. You'll find information on
how to decide on a topic that's right for your group and your goals.

My calendar typically fills at least a year or more in advance. 2020 is full! 2021 is
booking now, so reserve the dates you want. My Seminar Liaison, Kate Megregian,
will work with you to get the ball rolling. Her great organization skills will be
available to help you at every step.

I look forward working for your group!

cheers,
Suzanne Clothier

SUZANNE CLOTHIER 2021 - SEMINAR INFORMATION
TOPICS
CHOOSING A TOPIC
Suzanne’s broad experience as a trainer, instructor, breeder and speaker means
that she can offer your group informative, interesting seminars on a wide
selection of topics.

Flexible in her presentations, she is able to customize most topics to meet your
group’s specific needs. We will be glad to work with you to select the topics for
your group.

While considering a topic, it will help to think about these questions:

Does the group have a specific focus, interest or need? A rescue or shelter group
may be particularly interested in testing and assessment, observation skills, and
techniques for dealing with reactive/fearful/shy dogs. "Fright or Flight," "See the
Dog" or "What's the Problem" may be appropriate.

A performance oriented club may be more interested in understanding the
physical dog and training/performance issues. "Your Athletic Dog," "Drive,
Brakes & Steering," and "What's the Problem" could be great choices.

Is there a specific market you are hoping to reach? For example, some groups
want topics that will draw in everyone from the skilled professional to Joe Q
Public; some groups prefer targeted seminars only suitable for pet owners, or
professionals, or breeders, or trainers, etc.

What size group? Are you seeking the biggest possible attendance, or are you
interested in a smaller, more intimate group where hands-on work can be done?

In-depth or smorgasbord? Would you prefer an in-depth exploration of a topic or
related topics, or do you want to offer a “smorgasbord” of topics that offer new
ideas and techniques but are less intense in depth?

Knowing what your group intends to accomplish with this seminar will help focus
the direction and topics. When you have some ideas, we can help you narrow
down the specifics. Suzanne will gladly speak with you to help you decide.

FEES, CONTINUED

PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS

Consultation days may be scheduled prior to and/or after the seminar. While
we prefer advance notice, you may book consultation days (if available)
anytime prior to the purchase of airfare.

Many groups find great benefit in having their trainers and instructors audit
the sessions and watch Suzanne work with clients. It should be made clear to all
if auditors will be present. Any client may opt out of having their session
audited, but must do so in advance so that auditors can be made aware.

The hosting group is responsible for the expenses associated with this day. In
return, the group may select 3 members who may audit these consultations at
no charge.

We recommend having people pay for consultations in advance, and that you
have your own strict cancellation policy.

A full day of private consultations begins at 9 AM, and should end by 6 pm PM.
Please schedule a 15 min. break between every 2 sessions, with a 30-45 minute
break for lunch (if on-site, 1 hour off-site). You may also opt to choose just a
half-day of consultations.

Sessions are 60 minutes. Clients are welcome to bring more than one dog, and
to have a friend, family member or their trainer attend. Videotaping for their
personal use is permitted. Suzanne reserves the right to videotape sessions.

Fees
* Private session - $225.00 per full hour
* Semi-Private - (60 minutes shared with friend) $125.00 per person
* Auditing – $20 per session attended; these fees will go to the hosting group,
in addition to 3 free spaces for auditing described above.

TESTIMONIALS
WHAT OTHER HOSTS SAY

Suzanne Clothier is an excellent speaker. Her work is evidence-informed from
both empirical literature and case studies. She has great rapport with the
audience speaking from her head and heart - grounding her work in stories that
are funny and breathtaking. She is a master of creativity and communication
with her animal partners. Suzanne is a "go-to" expert in the field.
Dr. Jean Larson, Nature Based Therapeutics program University of Minnesota

I’ve been involved in sponsoring Suzanne Clothier seminars several times over
the last 7 years. I have seen Suzanne’s Relationship Centered Training improve
the lives of SO many dogs and their humans by showing them that almost
anything is possible when both the dog’s and the trainer’s physical and emotional
needs are taken into consideration and met. I have repeatedly seen fearful or shy
dogs leave after a two day seminar happily focused on their trainer with their
tails wagging. Best of all, both the human AND the dog are smiling!
Linda Conrad, Prairie Lake, MN

I first met Suzanne through "Bones Would Rain From The Sky." Daybreak Dogs
was delighted to host her for a series of 4 seminars in the UK. She didn't
disappoint! The woman that I met through the pages of her book, was even more
inspirational in person and was an engaging and thought- provoking speaker.
Suzanne is a consummate professional and delivered a world-class service for
the lucky people who were able to attend. I would encourage anyone thinking of
hosting her to get on and do it! She'll have your audience spellbound from the
beginning, right through to the end.
Gemma Fisher, MAPDT, Daybreak Dogs

"Best seminar ever" - what I've heard now in various forms from many people
who attended Suzanne Clothier's "Drive, Brakes, and Steering" seminar at The
K9 Jym. All who came benefitted from Suzanne's extremely insightful look at
how we raise, live, train, and compete with our dogs. Watching her work with the
working teams was amazing. I think we all left with a commitment to increase our
understanding of our dogs' desires and needs - to "listen to them" because yes
indeed, they are always telling us something, and they need to be heard and
respected. Suzanne thank you so very much!
