1924. The Paris Olympic Games. Two young track
athletes who live for the beautiful purity of running
and who prevail in the face of overwhelming odds.
Based on the extraordinary true story of Eric
Liddell and Harold Abrahams, and the Oscar-
winning film, Mark Bartlett’s Chariots of Fire is
an Olympic tale of hope, honour and belief. For
this year’s senior Rattigan Society production,
girls from St Dominic’s Sixth Form College join a
large ensemble cast in a Ryan Theatre auditorium
reconfigured to capture the drama of the race!

THE GROVE AND LYON’S HOUSE PLAY:
METAMORPHOSES
Thursday 10 and Friday 11 March
7.30pm – Ryan Theatre
Stranded by floods, Theseus and his men take
shelter in the subterranean home of a river god.
They pass the evening telling tales. The Grove
and Lyon’s join forces in an adaptation of Ovid’s
subversive epic in which mythological stories
are woven together with the common theme of
change. This adaptation includes original writing
by Harrow boys, directed by Thomasin Bailey and
Eoin Bentinck.

Although Schubert only lived for one and a half years
after the death of Beethoven in 1827, he composed
some of his finest and most transcendental music in
that time. Music that truly could have been written
by Beethoven in Heaven. This concert shows, through
music for violin and piano, that transition of Schubert
from disciple to master. Come and join Dimitar Burov SPRING TERM CONCERT
