THE NEW BMW M5 COMPETITION
A MASTERCLASS IN VEHICLE ENHANCEMENT
The first BMW M5 model was hand-built on an E28 535i chassis with a modified engine from the BMW M1. It made its debut at the
Amsterdam Motor Show in February 1985, and at its launch it had the distinction of being the fastest production sedan in the world.
It immediately established itself as an iconic vehicle in the category and has since gone on to become the world’s most successful
performance executive sedan.
The sixth generation BMW M5 was launched in 2018, and today we are pleased to announce a comprehensive facelift
guaranteed to meet and surpass the expectations of our most discerning customers.
As such, the new BMW M5 Competition is brimming with cutting-edge technologies, controlled through a striking 12.3” central display.
Numerous enhancements include new M buttons and fully digital BMW Live Cockpit Professional, BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant
and extended driver assistance systems as standard. The innovative all-wheel drive system: M xDrive, and the 4.4 litre V8 engine, work
in seamless harmony to transform the driver into self-assured pilot in control of a vehicle with unbelievable power, precision and agility.
On an aesthetic note, the new version has an even more dominant one-piece kidney grille and benefits from an even sharper standalone
design for its front and rear sections.

BMW M5 Competition
The most powerful BMW 5 Series of all time comes in a 4.4 litre V8 variant with BMW M TwinPower turbo technology for even
more direct response and faster acceleration – from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds. Power
is transmitted via an eight-speed M Steptronic gearboxwith Drivelogic paddles that can be used to choose between three modes:
Efficient, Sport or Track.
The M xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system has been specifically developed for use in the BMW M5 Competition. It has a
pronounced rear-wheel bias and only involves the front axle once the rear wheels have reached their traction limits and require
support from the front. This configuration makes the M5 Competition easy to control, even when using high power for maximum
performance.
