Heavy Monsoon Spells have caused significant loss of

education and health facilities also at community level

IMMEDIATE NEEDS
OF AFFECTEE
These are the needs on the basis of IRA Assessment
I. Response to emergency
Affected areas roads and crops are submerged in the
rainwater most of the affected Population of the affected
areas needs evacuation to safer places.
II. Shelter
Flood/Rainwater is standing in the villages, crops and
houses. Most of the houses been demolished or near to
demolish and affected population is forced to live under
the open sky without basic health and hygiene facility.
II.I Need establishment of tent cities/IDP camps,
temporary shelters for the affected population
III. Wash facilities
•Provision of safe drinking water (Hand Pumps)
•Installation of temporary toilets (Pit Latrine)
•Distribution of soaps for hand-washing
•Distribution of hygiene kits included sanitary-
pads/mosquito-nets
• Distribution of water purifying tablets/sachets
• Repair of existing water sources
• Distribution of water storage/collection vessels
•Distribution of IEC material and impart hygiene
awareness/education.
• Disease surveillance (especially water borne/related)
IV. Non Food Items (NFIs)
Rain/flood affected communities have lost their stocked
food items. - There is an immediate need for household
items (NFIs) support such as Bedding and floor mats,
kitchen kits (sets), hygiene items (kits), jerry cane.
V. Health and Nutrition
Provision of cocked food and Ration for 15 days for each
affected family. Milk and supplementary food item for
children (under 3 years) and women (Pregnant and
lactating mothers). There is a risk of water-borne
diseases i.e. Malaria, typhoid, diarrhoea and water-borne
skin diseases. People lost their stored food items wheat
and rice they are facing a shortage of food which can
lead them malnutrition. Need to arrange Medical Camps
for health faiclties.SRSO Relief Operations Details
